Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the relationship between permissive parenting and peer conformity with juvenile delinquency in SMP Negeri 5 Medan. The method used is a quantitative research method. The population in this study was 735 students. The sample used in this study was 205 students. The sampling technique used in this study used a purposive sampling technique. There is a significant positive relationship between peer conformity and juvenile delinquency from the coefficient value (Rxy) = 0.534, p = 0.000 < 0.050. The coefficient of determinant (R2) value has a value of 0.286, the conformity of students' peers in the school contributes 28.6% to juvenile delinquency in SMP Negeri 5 Medan. From the results of multiple regression analysis, it is known that there is a relationship between permissive parenting and peer conformity with juvenile delinquency. This is indicated by the coefficient F reg = 46.194 with p < 0.05, and the correlation coefficient R = 0.560 with p < 0.05 and R2 = 0.314; the contribution of permissive parenting and peer conformity in causing juvenile delinquency is 31.4%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of democratic parenting patterns and self-regulated learning on self-adjustment of class X students in one of the Islamic boarding schools in Medan City. This study uses a quantitative method using a total sampling technique involving 150 students. The research instruments used in this study were the democratic parenting pattern scale, the self-regulated learning scale and the self-adjustment scale. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) method through the Smart PLS 4.0 and SPSS 26.0 programs. The results showed that democratic parenting patterns had a positive and significant effect on self-adjustment with a coefficient value of 0.524 and a P-Value = 0.000 < 0.05. Self-regulated learning has a positive and significant effect on self-adjustment with a coefficient value of 0.500 and P-Values = 0.000 < 0.05. Democratic Parenting Patterns and Self-Regulated Learning are able to explain or influence Self-Adjustment by 66.8%. This shows that both factors play an important role in the psychological development of children and adolescents. The remaining 33.2% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis; 1) pengaruh self-efficacy terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa Madrasah Aliyah Swasta (MAS) Insan Kesuma Madani dalam menghadapi asesmen madrasah; 2) pengaruh motivasi berprestasi terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa Madrasah Aliyah Swasta (MAS) Insan Kesuma Madani dalam menghadapi asesmen madrasah; serta 3) pengaruh self-efficacy dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa Madrasah Aliyah Swasta (MAS) Insan Kesuma Madani dalam menghadapi asesmen madrasah. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan tipe kuantitatif dengan jenis survei. Pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 104 siswa Madrasah Aliyah Swasta (MAS) Insan Kesuma Madani. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa; 1) self-efficacy berpengaruh terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa Madrasah Aliyah Swasta (MAS) Insan Kesuma Madani; 2) motivasi berprestasi berpengaruh terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa Madrasah Aliyah Swasta (MAS) Insan Kesuma Madani; serta 3) self-efficacy dan motivasi berprestasi berpengaruh terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa Madrasah Aliyah Swasta (MAS) Insan Kesuma Madani. Kontribusi penelitian diketahui sebesar 19,5%, sedangkan 80,5% merupakan faktor yang tidak terkandung dalam penelitian ini.
