Abstract

Abstract The objective of the research is to find out communication strategies used by the English teachers in Special need student classroom. The researcher used descriptive qualitative research and the data were collected by using observation, interview, and documentation (video recording). The result revealed that communication strategies used by the English teacher were circumlocution, approximation, use of nonlinguistic means (mime or gesture), literal translation, code switching, appeal for help, stalling or time-gaining strategies. The result of the interview showed that the communication strategies helped the students understood the meaning of words and instruction, made the students easier to understand the material, helped students to understand what the teacher said, helped to explain the material in teaching and learning process.

Abstract

  In order to interreligious moderation, the study aims to examine the role played by religious leaders in promoting interfaith dialogue. Studies are under way to identify the obstacles and prospects faced by the religious authorities in their efforts to promote inter-faith communication. The conclusions of the analysis indicate that religious leaders are dealing with a variety of issues, including radicalism and extremism, miscommunication and mistrust, variations in religious beliefs and interpretations, depleted resources, and traditional and conservative customs. But religious leaders also have the opportunity to improve education and learning, take advocacy and teaching, collaborate and socialize with other religious leadership, use technology and social media, and constantly find themselves in the hope of promoting interreligious communication. Religious leaders can effectively promote diversity, tolerance, and shared respect among different groups of society by being aware of potential obstacles and opportunities. Religious leadership can contribute positively to creating societies of compassion, understanding, and peace by upholding religious law, collaborating in religious education, and using technology wisely. Abstrak Untuk mencapai moderasi antar agama, studi ini bertujuan untuk memeriksa peran yang dimainkan oleh para pemimpin agama dalam mempromosikan percakapan antar agama. Studi sedang dilakukan untuk menentukan hambatan dan prospek yang dihadapi oleh otoritas agama dalam upaya mereka untuk mempromosikan komunikasi antar agama. Studi ini didasarkan pada berbagai sumber informasi, termasuk kertas, jurnal, dan publikasi tentang komunikasi antar agama dan moderasi. Kesimpulan dari analisis menunjukkan bahwa para pemimpin agama berurusan dengan berbagai masalah, termasuk radikalisme dan ekstremisme, kesalahan komunikasi dan ketidakpercayaan, variasi keyakinan dan interpretasi agama, penurunan daya sumber, dan kebiasaan tradisional dan konservatif. Tetapi pemimpin agama juga memiliki kesempatan untuk meningkatkan pendidikan dan belajar, mengambil advokasi dan pengajaran, bekerja sama dan bersosialisasi dengan pemimpin agama lain, menggunakan teknologi dan media sosial, dan terus-menerus menemukan diri mereka sendiri dalam harapan mempromosikan komunikasi antar agama. Pemimpin agama dapat secara efektif mempromosikan keragaman, toleransi, dan rasa hormat bersama di antara berbagai kelompok masyarakat dengan menyadari hambatan dan peluang potensial. Pemimpin agama dapat berkontribusi positif untuk menciptakan masyarakat yang penuh belas kasihan, pengertian, dan damai dengan mempertahankan hukum agama, berkolaborasi dalam pendidikan agama, dan menggunakan teknologi dengan bijak.
