Abstract

Pengukuran volume standar tangki dilakukan pada tangki timbun T-117 sebagai acuan kuantitas produk. Tangki timbun T-117 termasuk tangki jenis fixed roof tank dengan tangki berbentuk silinder dan atap berbentuk kubah. Tangki ini digunakan untuk menyimpan hasil produk pertasol CA sebelum didistribusikan kepada konsumen. Penentuan volume standar berfungsi untuk mengkonversi volume minyak pada tangki ke dalam bentuk volume standar. Dasar yang digunakan dalam pengolahan data menggunakan standar yang dikeluarkan oleh American Standar Testing and Material (ASTM) dan American Petroleum Institute (API). Pada volume standar tangki menjadi acuan proses jual beli produk minyak bumi. Kesalahan pembacaan temperatur akan mengakibatkan perubahan hasil volume produk yang dihasilkan. Hal tersebut dapat merugikan pihak penjual maupun pembeli dikarenakan perbedaan volume standar dan mengakibatkan losses pada pendapatan hasil produksi. Pada jurnal ini penyusun melakukan perhitungan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembacaan dan pengambilan data temperatur dalam tangki pada volume standar tangki. Apabila terjadi kesalahan pembacaan temperatur dalam tangki, setiap kesalahan turun 1°C dari pembacaan seharusnya dengan rentang temperatur 28°C - 31°C didapatkan rata-rata penambahan volume standar sebesar 31,90266 L sedangkan kesalahan pembacaan naik 1°C dari pembacaan seharusnya dengan rentang temperatur 31°C - 34°C didapatkan rata-rata pengurangan volume standar sebesar 31,25736 L.

Abstract

This research discusses the synthesis of precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) standard for raw paper materials from chicken bones. In the paper industry, PCC is used as a coating and filler to enhance paper's smoothness, brightness, and opacity. The primary material used in this research is chicken bones from the frozen food industry waste, solving environmental problems. Chicken bones were dried in an oven at 100°C, then crushed and sieved to 100 mesh. X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) analysis shows that chicken bones contain calcium at 98.83%. The high content can make chicken bones a raw material for PCC. This research uses variables of Na₂CO₃ solution and precipitation time with a temperature of 30°C. The target of this research to produce high quality Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC) with a calcite crystal structure suitable for industrial applications particularly as raw material for the paper industry. Based on the analysis results, the best conditions were obtained at a Na₂CO₃ concentration of 2.5 M and a precipitation time of 40 minutes. The XRF and XRD test analyses showed that PCC was polymorph calcite with a particle size of 2.14752 µm. This research proves that chicken bones can be an alternative raw material for PCC by ISO 3262-2:1998 parameters for industry standards.

Abstract

The community development program implemented in Kalipucang Village, Tutur District, Pasuruan Regency, aims to assist residents in utilizing cow manure waste by producing environmentally friendly biobriquettes. The activities involved a series of steps, including drying the cow manure, burning, mixing with binders, and molding the biobriquettes. The results of this program show that biobriquettes made from cow manure have a longer burning time compared to conventional charcoal. This program has successfully enhanced residents' skills in waste management, opened new economic opportunities, and promoted the use of alternative energy sources. Overall, the program demonstrates that support from the village government and continuous training is essential to ensure the ongoing development and benefits of the biobriquette enterprise in the village.
