Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of growth opportunity, cash flow, and capital expenditure on cash holding with good corporate governance (GCG) as a moderating variable in plastic and packaging sub-sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) with an observation period of 2019-2021. The sample technique used is purposive sampling where the total sample is 11 companies with a total of 33 data. The analysis technique used in this study is moderating regression analysis using Eviews 12 for students to process data and Microsoft Excel 2010 to collect data. The results shown in this study indicate that growth opportunity and cash flow have a positive and significant effect on cash holdings, while capital expenditure has a negative and insignificant effect on cash holdings. GCG moderates the effect of growth opportunity on cash holding, while GCG does not moderate the effect of cash flow and capital expenditure on cash holding. The implication of this research is the need for increased board of commissioners meetings to increase growth opportunities which will increase cash holdings for better financial management by companies.

Abstract

The research examined the effect of dividend policy, firm size, capital structure, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on firm value in Indonesian banking companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX). Purposive sampling was used to select the sample, and the population for this study was from 2017 to 2020, with 48 data points representing 12 samples of banking companies. According to the findings of this study, firm size and corporate social responsibility (CSR) both have a positive and significant effect on firm value. The dividend policies and capital structure have a small but positive impact on firm value. The descriptive research design was used in this study. This descriptive research aimed to ascertain the existence of one or more variables without comparing them directly and instead of looking for relationships with other variables. The data processing in this study was performed using the Microsoft Excel 2010 program, and the data analysis was performed using Eviews version 11. This study employed a technique known as purposive sampling to select random samples.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether corporate governance (which includes the board of commissioners and audit committee), dividend policy, conservatism, and liquidity affect firm value. This research will produce outputs in the form of scientific articles that are expected to be beneficial for parties who need them, such as helping internal companies to increase company value and helping investors to make decisions before investing, and being able to predict company value by looking at its financial statements, especially in related indicators. As well as useful as a reference for future researchers. Given the number and breadth of problems that must be solved, the researchers limit the issues examined in this study. It starts from the variables used, namely the dependent and independent variables. The research will be conducted for three years, from 2018 to 2020, using a family manufacturing company. It was listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Researchers will use quantitative research methods, where this research is research used to examine populations and samples, using secondary data obtained from the IDX through the website www.idx.co.id and the company's website. Existing data will be entered into Microsoft Excel 2010 and processed using EViews version 11. In this study, researchers used the Non-Probability Sampling technique in taking samples, where the method does not provide equal opportunities for each population. Data collection for 2018-2020 is expected to provide the latest data.

Abstract

This community service has its own goals and targets to be achieved, namely PT. Bright Expo can update its business system, by looking at the opportunities that exist. These updates not only keep the company afloat during the pandemic, but can also be a springboard for the company. By implementing the recommendations on the results of this PKM, it is expected that the company can increase the effectiveness, efficiency, and economic level of the company, so that the company can improve its performance. For this, we, lecturers and students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, will conduct an FGD (Forum Group Discussion) to identify problems and reach an agreement with the management of PT Bright Expo to analyze opportunities in a changing market environment. We conducted a survey prior to conducting the FGD (Forum Group Discussion) to obtain information regarding the location of the company and the area around it. Next we will conduct an FGD (Forum Group Discussion) with the management of PT Bright Expo. We conducted the survey in order to find out the things that need attention during the FGD, so that we can make the most of the ongoing FGD. In addition, the survey is also useful for reviewing the marketing mix strategy that exists in the company. After the discussion is carried out, we will also provide various alternatives to the management as material for consideration in decision making. We will end this activity by making a narrative FGD (Forum Group Discussion), Opportunity Analysis in Changes in the Market Environment, as well as compiling a final report and financial report on the activities we have carried out. We plan to carry out this series of activities from July 2022 – December 2022 with the output of FGD narratives and an analysis of the use of the marketing mix in meeting the needs of PT Bright Expo's target market, which is expected to provide benefits to various parties. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memiliki tujuan dan target sendiri yang akan dicapai, yakni PT. Bright Expo dapat memperbarui system usahanya, dengan melihat peluang yang ada. Pembaruan tersebut tidak hanya membuat perusahaan bertahan di masa pandemi, tapi juga bisa menjadi batu loncatan bagi perusahaan. Dengan menerapkan rekomendasi atas hasil PKM ini, diharapkan perusahaan bisa meningkatkan efektivitas, efisiensi, serta tingkat ekonomis perusahaan, sehingga perusahaan dapat meningkatkan kinerjanya. Untuk ini, kami, dosen dan mahasiswa dari Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis, akan melakukan FGD (Forum Group Discussion) untuk mengidentifikasi masalah dan mencapai suatu kesepakatan dengan pihak manajemen PT Bright Expo untuk melakukan analisis peluang dalam perubahan lingkungan pasar. Kami melakukan survey terlebih dahulu sebelum FGD (Forum Group Discussion) dilakukan untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai lokasi perusahaan dan daerah di sekitarnya. Berikutnya kami akan melakukan FGD (Forum Group Discussion) dengan pihak manajemen PT Bright Expo. Survey tersebut kami lakukan agar mengetahui hal-hal yang perlu mendapat perhatian selama FGD berlangsung, sehingga dapat memaksimalkan FGD yang berlangsung. Selain itu, survey tersebut juga berguna untuk menelaah strategi marketing mix yang ada pada perusahaan. Setelah diskusi dilakukan, kami juga akan memberikan berbagai alternatif kepada pihak manajemen sebagai bahan pertimbangan pengambilan keputusan. Kegiatan ini akan kami akhiri dengan membuat narasi FGD (Forum Group Discussion), Analisis Peluang dalam Perubahan Lingkungan Pasar, juga menyusun laporan akhir maupun laporan keuangan atas kegiatan yang telah kami lakukan. Serangkaian kegiatan ini kami rencanakan akan dilakukan mulai bulan Juli 2022 – Desember 2022 dengan luaran Narasi FGD dan analisis penggunaan marketing mix dalam memenuhi kebutuhan target pasar PT Bright Expo, yang diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat ke berbagai pihak.
