Abstract

The Church has a major role to play in Christian Education for all members of its congregation, including youth. Youth as successors need to be directed, guided and nurtured so as to become mature disciples of Christ in the faith. But the fact is that the church does not fully think seriously and responsibly about Christian Religious Education, especially for youth. Para leaders have failed in setting the goals of Christian Education for youth. Routine tasks have seized the minds of leaders so as not to have the opportunity to think of earnest and planned coaching within the congregation. Answering these problems, the author raised the topic of research on "The Role of the Church in Christian Religious Education for youth. Through this research, it is hoped that the church will evaluate its role, and seriously consider the effective implementation of Christian Religious Education for youth. Research uses literature methods using books and journals related to research topics and records and collects data to make logical and systematic thinking constructs to answer problems. The results of the study concluded, Pertama, the church placed specifically a spiritual leader who was capable of teaching theology and teaching the Word of God. Second, the Church is open to technology and uses social media to run ministries. Third, the church collaborates with the government and Fourth, the church needs to establish a holistic curriculum to address the problems of the youth. Gereja mempunyai peran besar terhadap Pendidikan Agama Kristen bagi seluruh anggota jemaatnya, termasuk pemuda. Pemuda sebagai genarasi penerus perlu diarahkan, dibimbing dan dibina sehingga menjadi murid Kristus yang dewasa dalam iman. Namun faktanya gereja tidak sepenuhnya memikirkan dengan serius dan bertanggung jawab terhadap Pendidikan Agama Kristen khusunya bagi pemuda. Para pemimpin telah gagal dalam menetapkan tujuan-tujuan Pendidikan Agama Kristen bagi pemuda. Tugas-tugas rutinitas telah menyita pikiran para pemimpin sehingga tidak memiliki kesempatan untuk memikirkan pembinaan yang sungguh-sungguh dan terencana di dalam jemaat. Menjawab permasalahan-permasalahan tersebut, penulis mengangkat topik penelitian tentang “Peran Gereja terhadap Pendidikan Agama Kristen Bagi pemuda. Melalui penelitian tersebut diharapkan gereja mengevaluasi perannya, dan memikirkan secara serius pelaksanaan Pendidikan Agama Kristen secara efektif bagi pemuda. Penelitian menggunakan metode literatur dengan menggunakan buku-buku dan jurnal terkait dengan topik penelitian serta mencatat dan mengumpulkan data-data untuk membuat kontruksi berpikir logis dan sistematis menjawab permasalahan. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan, pertama, gereja menempatkan secara khusus seorang pemimpin rohani yang cakap mengajarkan teologi dan mengajarkan Firman Tuhan. Kedua, Gereja membuka diri terhadap tekhnologi dan menggunakan media sosial untuk menjalankan pelayanan. Ketiga, gereja berkolaborasi dengan pemerintah dan Keempat, gereja perlu membentuk kurikum holistik untuk memnjawab permasalahan para pemuda.

Abstract

Community service activities have the aim of improving the quality of learning for youth at Pademangan, North Jakarta in terms of learning strategies, namely the Problem Based Learning (PBL) strategy (problem based learning). While the form of service carried out is an effective learning strategy for proletarian adolescents. The result of community service activities is that the understanding and ability of proletarian adolescents about learning strategies for proletarian adolescents can be improved by providing training, so that the knowledge and professionalism of teachers can increase success in learning subjects
