<![CDATA[ABSTRAK Osteoarthritis atau radang pada sendi merupakan suatu penyakit degeneratif atau penyakit yang timbul dengan seiring bertambahnya usia terutama pada lansia. Dengan bertambahnya usia, risiko terjadinya osteoarthritis semakin meningkat yang dapat mempengaruhi kualitas hidup seseorang. Osteoarthritis terjadi karena rusaknya jaringan tulang rawan sendi yang dapat menyerang sendi lutut, jari-jari kaki dan tangan, tulang punggung serta panggu. Oleh karena itu, edukasi terkait pencegahan dan penanganan terhadap kejadian osteoarthritis sangat penting untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mengenai osteoarthritis agar memperlambat progresivitasnya. Tujuan dari promosi Kesehatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman terhadap penanganan dan pencegahan osteoarthritis. Metode yang dilakukan pada promosi Kesehatan ini adalah dengan penjelasan atau ceramah dengan bantuan media leaflet yang dilakukan oleh pemateri kepada peserta secara langsung dan dilanjutkan dengan sesi tanya jawab. Berdasarkan hasil dari analisis terhadap pre-test dan post-test terdapat peningkatan pemahaman peserta terkait pencegahan dan penanganan osteoarthritis dengan perolehan pre-test sebesar 43,33% meningkat menjadi 50%. Dari hasil kegiatan promosi Kesehatan ini metode ceramah dengan bantuan media leaflet dan tanya jawab secara langsung dapat meningkatkan pemahaman peserta terkait pecegahan dan penanganan osteoarthritis yang dibuktikan dengan peningkatan pada nilai post-test. As people age, the risk of developing osteoarthritis increases, which can affect a person's quality of life. Osteoarthritis occurs due to the damage of joint cartilage tissue that can affect the knee joints, toes and fingers, spine, and pelvis. Therefore, education related to the prevention and management of osteoarthritis incidents is very important to enhance understanding of osteoarthritis in order to slow its progression. The goal of this health promotion is to enhance understanding of the management and prevention of osteoarthritis. The method used in this health promotion was an explanation or lecture with the aid of leaflets, conducted by the speaker to the participants directly, followed by a question-and-answer session. Based on the analysis results of the pre-test and post-test, there was an increase in participants' understanding of the prevention and management of osteoarthritis, with the pre-test score of 43.33% increasing to 50%. From the results of this health promotion activity, the lecture method with the aid of leaflets and direct question-and-answer sessions can enhance participants' understanding of the prevention and management of osteoarthritis, as evidenced by the increase in post-test scores.
