Abstract

Education is a fundamental element in human life and plays an important role in building a better country. This article discusses the importance of curriculum in education, particularly the Competency-Based Curriculum (KBK) implemented in Indonesia. By integrating learning that supports holistic character development, the government seeks to create a young generation that is not only academically intelligent, but has good skills and character. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach to analyze the 2004 curriculum, which is a transition from the previous curriculum. Through data collection and analysis from various sources, this article explores the definition, characteristics and implementation of the KBK, as well as the advantages and obstacles faced in its implementation. The results show that while the KBK has many advantages, such as the development of student abilities and student-centered learning, there are challenges in terms of teacher professionalism and consistency in the application of competency standards. This research is expected to provide new insights into curriculum development in Indonesia and its contribution to improving the quality of national education.

Abstract

The study aims to identify variations of Arabic language program evaluation based on the multiple intelligences formative-summative model according to Michael Scriven at Markaz Arabiyah Pare, Kediri, East Java. Qualitative methods were used to collect primary and secondary data through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that the evaluation of the Arabic language program refers to the formative and summative models carried out in two stages: written and oral tests, which effectively develop the linguistic, emotional, and intellectual intelligence of the santri. Data analysis uses the descriptive method proposed by Miles and Huberman, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Findings confirmed the importance of multiple intelligences-based programs in improving learning quality and student motivation. The study recommends further exploration of the effect of evaluation methods on the development of other intelligences and the program's long-term impact on students language skills.

Abstract

From the review that has been conducted on the Arabic textbook for class X MA by Choirul Ansori based on the 2013 curriculum, that this book is one of the most important textbooks for students at the Madrasah Aliyah level. So that the author feels the need to evaluate to find out both the material, design, and the extent to which the content of the material in this book presents an effective learning concept for students. This analysis includes several important aspects, namely: (1) the suitability of the material presented in the book with the basic competencies and achievement indicators set in the curriculum, (2) the learning methods used in the book, and (3) the effectiveness of the book in supporting the Arabic language learning process at Madrasah Aliyah level. This research uses a qualitative approach with library research to analyze the concept of this textbook. The results of the study explain that this book focuses on four maharah developments, namely kalam, qiro'ah, kitabah, and istima'. However, this book is packaged and then divided into several materials, such as hiwar, qowa'id, mufrodat, and accompanied by exercises related to the material in the chapter. While the 2013 curriculum is a set of guidelines implemented in Indonesia which is used as a reference in educational units to achieve the desired goals. This curriculum was introduced by the minister of education with the aim that students do not only focus on academic values at school, but also on their academic performance. Dari telaah yang telah dilakukan pada buku ajar bahasa Arab kelas X MA karya Choirul Ansori berbasis kurikulum 2013, bahwa buku ini adalah salah satu buku ajar yang sangat penting bagi siswa di tingkat Madrasah Aliyah. Sehingga penulis merasa perlu mengevaluasi untuk mengetahui baik itu materi, desain, serta sejauh mana isi materi dalam buku ini menyajikan konsep pembelajaran yang efektif bagi siswa. Analisis ini mencakup beberapa aspek penting, yaitu: (1) kesesuaian materi yang disajikan dalam buku dengan kompetensi dasar dan indikator pencapaian yang ditetapkan dalam kurikulum, (2) metode pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam buku, serta (3) efektivitas buku dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran bahasa Arab di tingkat Madrasah Aliyah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan (library research) untuk menganalisis konsep buku ajar ini. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa buku ini berfokus kepada empat pengembangan maharah, yaitu kalam, qiro’ah, kitabah, dan istima’. Akan tetapi dalam buku ini di kemas kemudian di bagi lagi ke dalam beberapa materi, seperti hiwar, qowa’id, mufrodat, dan disertai latihan-latihan terkait materi pada bab tersebut. Sedangkan kurikulum 2013 adalah seperangkat pedoman yang diterapkan di Indonesia yang dijadikan sebagai acuan dalam satuan pendidikan untuk mencapai tujuan yang diinginkan. Kurikulum ini di kenalkan oleh mentri pendidikan dengan tujuan agar siswa tidak hanya berfokus kepada nilai-nilai akademik di sekolah, akan tetapi juga mengimplementasikan pengembangan karakter seperti nilai moral dan etika, serta sikap positif yang di perlukan dalam penerapan di kehidupan sehari-hari.
