Abstract

Animals are part of the Ethnozoology field used by the Desa Dayak Tribe. The purpose of the research is to record the types of animals and how to use them, as well as to examine the conservation efforts of animals. The study used a survey method with interview techniques to 11 respondents with a questionnaire guide and snowball sampling technique. Utilization of animals by the Desa Dayak Tribe there are 46 types of animals from 39 families that are used. The average family of animal species contained only 1 species, except for the families Ampullariidae, Channidae, Ranidae, Phasianidae, Phytonidae, Carvidae and Suidae, each of which found 2 species. Utilization varies from consumption, traditional rituals, medicine, myths or omens, artistic values, game animals and animals for hunting. Utilization that uses a lot of animals is for consumption as many as 23. The parts of animals that are used include meat, head, blood, fur, liver, claws, thorns, tail, sound, shell, fat, bile, horns, skin and beehives. The part that is widely used is meat as much as 30. Animal processing is carried out starting from cooking in gravy, frying, grilling, grinding and grilling which animals are obtained when hunting in the forest, trapping results and fishing in rivers.Keywords: Animals, Ethnozoology, Utilization, Village DayakAbstrak Hewan merupakan bagian dari bidang Etnozoologi yang dimanfaatkan Suku Dayak Desa. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendata jenis-jenis hewan dan cara pemanfaatan, serta mengkaji upaya konservasi terhadap hewan. Penelitian menggunakan metode survey dengan teknik wawancara terhadap 11 responden dengan panduan kuisioner dan teknik snowball sampling. Pemanfaatan hewan oleh Suku Dayak Desa terdapat 46 jenis hewan dari 39 famili yang dimanfaatkan. Famili dari jenis hewan rata-rata hanya terdapat 1 spesies, kecuali untuk famili Ampullariidae, Channidae, Ranidae, Phasianidae, Phytonidae, Carvidae dan Suidae masing-masing ditemukan 2 spesies. Pemanfaatan bervariasi mulai dari kosumsi, ritual adat, pengobatan, mitos atau pertanda, nilai seni, hewan buruan dan hewan untuk berburu. Pemanfaatan yang banyak menggunakan hewan yaitu untuk kosumsi sebanyak 23. Bagian hewan yang dimanfaatkan meliputi daging, kepala, darah, bulu, hati, ceker, duri, ekor, suara, cangkang, lemak, empedu, tanduk, kulit dan sarang lebah. Bagian yang banyak digunakan yaitu Daging sebanyak 30. Pengolahan hewan yang dilakukan mulai dari dimasak kuah, goreng, bakar, dipekasam dan disalai yang mana hewan tersebut didapatkan saat berburu dihutan, hasil perangkap dan memancing di sungai.Kata kunci: Hewan, Etnozoologi, Pemanfaatan, Dayak Desa
