Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pelatihan, kompetensi, dan pengembangan karir terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Kinerja pegawai menjadi salah satu faktor penting dalam mendukung efektivitas pelayanan publik karena kualitas pelayanan organisasi sangat dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan sumber daya manusia dalam melaksanakan pekerjaan secara profesional. Pelaksanaan pelatihan, peningkatan kompetensi, dan pengembangan karir menjadi bagian penting dalam pengelolaan sumber daya manusia untuk meningkatkan kualitas kerja pegawai pada organisasi pelayanan publik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada pegawai pada Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan program Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan memiliki pengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, sedangkan kompetensi dan pengembangan karir memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Pengujian simultan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan, kompetensi, dan pengembangan karir secara bersama-sama memiliki pengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai. Kompetensi dan pengembangan karir menjadi variabel yang memiliki pengaruh lebih dominan terhadap peningkatan kualitas kerja pegawai pada organisasi pelayanan publik. Penguatan kualitas sumber daya manusia melalui peningkatan kompetensi dan pengembangan karir menjadi langkah penting dalam meningkatkan efektivitas organisasi dan kualitas pelayanan kepada masyarakat. Organisasi pelayanan publik perlu meningkatkan efektivitas sistem pelatihan, pengembangan kompetensi, dan pengembangan karir agar pegawai mampu bekerja secara lebih profesional, produktif, dan adaptif terhadap perkembangan kebutuhan pelayanan masyarakat. This study aims to analyze the influence of training, competence, and career development on employee performance at the Library and Archives Service of South Sulawesi Province. Employee performance is an important factor in supporting the effectiveness of public services because the quality of organizational services is strongly influenced by the ability of human resources to perform their duties professionally. The implementation of training, competency improvement, and career development becomes an essential part of human resource management in improving employee work quality within public service organizations. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method through questionnaires distributed to employees at the Library and Archives Service of South Sulawesi Province. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS). The results indicated that training had a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance, while competence and career development had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneous testing showed that training, competence, and career development collectively influenced employee performance. Competence and career development were identified as the most dominant variables affecting the improvement of employee work quality in public service organizations. Strengthening the quality of human resources through competency enhancement and career development becomes an important step in improving organizational effectiveness and service quality to the community. Public service organizations need to improve the effectiveness of training systems, competency development, and career development so that employees can work more professionally, productively, and adaptively in responding to the changing demands of public services.
