Abstract

This study discusses the interaction between adherents of the Laroma organization beliefs who are still loyal to carrying out Minahasa old beliefs with the surrounding community. Where when believers perform their obligations as believers, there is an act of rejection accepted by believers. Through the approach of Christian theology and qualitative research methods, this study aims to understand the views or reactions of the congregation to the phenomenon of the existence of the laroma organization, and how they can coexist with every difference that exists. So as to create a good relationship that respects and respects each other in a plural life while maintaining the faith of Christian beliefs.

Abstract

Pemahaman terhadap anugerah Allah dalam konteks pembenaran (justification) dan pengudusan (sanctification) menjadi fondasi penting dalam kehidupan iman Kristen, khususnya dalam tradisi teologi Reformed. Calvin menegaskan bahwa pembenaran merupakan karya Allah yang menyatakan manusia berdosa sebagai benar melalui iman kepada Kristus, sedangkan pengudusan adalah proses transformasi hidup yang dikerjakan oleh Roh Kudus sebagai konsekuensi dari iman yang menyelamatkan. Keduanya merupakan aspek yang tak terpisahkan dalam keselamatan, di mana pembenaran memberikan dasar identitas spiritual, dan pengudusan mengarahkan pada pemulihan karakter menurut gambar Allah. Dengan demikian, pemahaman ini menawarkan kerangka teologis yang kokoh dalam membangun nilai diri yang tidak bergantung pada pencapaian duniawi, melainkan berakar pada kasih karunia dan karya pembaruan Allah. Tulisan ini menyoroti relevansi pendekatan Calvin dalam merespons krisis identitas dan pencarian nilai diri dalam konteks kontemporer.

Abstract

This article discusses the relationship between church and politics through the views of John Calvin. This view emerged during Calvin's reformation of Geneva in 1536 and upon his return from Strasbourg to Geneva in 1541. The new life of the people of Geneva apart from the Roman Catholic Church and the Duke of Savoy required Calvin to organise Geneva's church government system. According to Calvin, church and politics are institutions established by God as external means. Calvin emphasised the separation between Church and Politics because both have different tasks, but they complement each other. In essence, Calvin holds the view that both church and politics are means established by God or what Calvin calls ‘God's representatives’ to regulate human behaviour in accordance with His will.

Abstract

A dogmatic study of the Social Trinity can also address individualism that may arise in the congregation. A deeper understanding of this concept can be a way for congregants to better understand the meaning of cooperation, empathy, and support for one another, thus creating a more inclusive and supportive congregational environment. So the researcher used a qualitative research method. Qualitative research is descriptive and tends to use analysis with an inductive approach. The connection between the concept of the Social Trinity and the desired communal life in GMIM Eirene Kema 1 is very real. By contemplating the perichoresis between the persons of God, the congregation is invited to live in a togetherness that is mutually enriching, mutually sustaining, and mutually respectful, both in human relationships and with the universe. It is a way for individuals who share similar beliefs and values to come together and live in close proximity, creating an environment of mutual support and enrichment.
