Abstract

Peran Bawaslu Kabupaten Muaro Jambi dalam mengawasi Pemilu Serentak tahun 2019 sangat penting untuk menjaga integritas dan keadilan proses demokrasi di wilayah tersebut. Bawaslu Kabupaten Muaro Jambi bertanggung jawab dalam melakukan pengawasan terhadap tahapan pemilu, mulai dari netralitas aparatur sipil negara (ASN), penanganan pelanggaran pemilu, pemantauan kampanye, pemantauan penggunaan media massa, hingga penyelesaian sengketa pemilu. Dalam menjalankan tugasnya, Bawaslu Kabupaten Muaro Jambi bekerja sama dengan instansi terkait seperti KPU dan kepolisian. Mereka melakukan pengawasan terhadap netralitas ASN agar tidak ada penyalahgunaan fasilitas negara dalam kepentingan politik. Selain itu, Bawaslu Kabupaten Muaro Jambi juga menangani pelanggaran pemilu yang dilaporkan, melakukan penyelidikan, dan memberikan sanksi sesuai dengan ketentuan hukum yang berlaku. Pemantauan kampanye menjadi perhatian penting Bawaslu Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, dimana mereka memastikan kampanye dilakukan sesuai dengan aturan yang telah ditetapkan, termasuk pembatasan waktu, tempat, dan sumber dana kampanye. Pemantauan terhadap penggunaan media massa juga dilakukan untuk memastikan tidak ada konten yang melanggar aturan pemilu atau bersifat negatif. Selain itu, Bawaslu Kabupaten Muaro Jambi memiliki peran dalam menyelesaikan sengketa pemilu. Mereka menangani sengketa yang diajukan oleh peserta pemilu terkait dengan hasil pemilu, pelanggaran pemilu, atau keputusan yang dikeluarkan oleh penyelenggara pemilu. Dengan melaksanakan perannya secara efektif, Bawaslu Kabupaten Muaro Jambi berupaya menciptakan pemilu yang bersih, transparan, dan demokratis. Kolaborasi yang baik dengan instansi terkait dan komitmen dalam menjalankan tugas pengawasan pemilu menjadi faktor kunci dalam memastikan kelancaran dan keberhasilan Pemilu Serentak tahun 2019 di Kabupaten Muaro Jambi.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The aim of this study is to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a learning media called MITEDA (Mitigation of Earthquake Damage), which is based on the STEM approach and computational thinking, to support the teaching of wave physics. The study focuses on both the development process of the media and its impact on improving students’ computational thinking skills through contextual problem-solving using earthquake simulation and sensor-based data. Methodology: The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. Tools used include Arduino Uno, SW-420 vibration sensor, LCD 16x2, and a buzzer. Software includes Arduino IDE and Proteus. Data collection used expert validation sheets, student questionnaires, observations, and computational thinking tests. Main Findings: The MITEDA learning media, comprising a digital seismograph kit and instructional module, was rated “highly feasible” by experts (Aiken’s V ≥ 0.80) and received positive student feedback for usability and engagement. Statistical analysis showed a significant improvement in computational thinking skills for the experimental group (N-Gain = 0.84) compared to the control group (N-Gain = 0.56), t(69) = 8.875, p < 0.001, d = 2.716, with the highest gains in abstraction and consistent high-level algorithmic performance. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study presents an innovative learning media, MITEDA, integrating STEM and computational thinking through earthquake simulation using Arduino-based sensors. It advances wave physics learning by providing real-time vibration data and contextual problem-solving, enhancing students’ analytical skills.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the potential of Rat Island as a marine ecotourism destination as well as a contextualized physics learning environment. Using the descriptive qualitative method and literature review support, data were obtained through field observations and literature analysis related to sediment topography, climate, and physics concepts such as ocean waves and tree height measurements. Previous research stated that Rat Island has marine ecotourism potential that can be used as contextual physics learning material. Observation activities in the natural laboratory of Rat Island by Master of Science Education students succeeded in increasing the enthusiasm for learning and inquiry skills. Physics analysis related to tree height measurement provides a deep understanding of physics concepts that can be applied in everyday life. In addition, the research showed the tidal pattern on Rat Island as a periodic physical phenomenon that can be studied and predicted. The concept of Rat Island as a natural laboratory supports its potential as a place for learning and experimentation while supporting environmental conservation efforts. Overall, Rat Island has great potential as a source of contextual physics learning and a sustainable marine ecotourism destination.Keywords: Rat Island, Physics Learning, Tidal Wave, Natural Laboratory.
