Abstract

This community service program focuses on assisting teachers at TPQ Al Ikhlas in Sidorejo Village, Pagelaran District, Malang Regency, in creating creative learning media in the Indonesian language for children. The goal of this initiative is to enhance the teaching process by providing teachers with practical skills to design engaging and interactive educational tools. These tools include posters, flashcards, and simple digital media that are tailored to improve children’s understanding of both religious and general knowledge. The program consists of workshops and direct mentoring to help teachers develop creative materials that can stimulate the children's interest in learning. Teachers are trained to integrate these materials into their daily lessons, making learning more enjoyable, dynamic, and effective. Through this project, teachers not only enhance their creativity but also improve their ability to engage children in a fun and meaningful way. The expected outcome is an improvement in the quality of education at TPQ Al Ikhlas, contributing to a more effective learning environment for children. This program aims to have a lasting positive impact by empowering teachers and enriching the learning experience, ultimately benefiting the cognitive and academic development of the children.

Abstract

This study aims to implement the use of short films as a learning medium in learning to write response texts for grade VII students of MTs Alhidayah Malang and analyze the level of response text writing skills of grade VII students of MTs Alhidayah Malang after using short films as a learning medium. This study uses a descriptive quantitative research method. The data source in this study is the results of response text writing scores in grade VII MTs Alhidayah with 6 male students and 5 female students, a total of 11 students. Based on the findings of students who understand the response text indicated by the overall student score is still very low with an average score of 51,81 before using short films and increased to 70,90 after using short films. Therefore, this study was specifically designed to analyze in depth the effect of using short films as a learning medium to improve students' response text writing skills at MTs Alhidayah.

Abstract

The shift in meaning of Indonesian vocabulary on social media, particularly in Instagram memes, reflects a dynamic linguistic phenomenon among teenagers. This study aims to describe the changes in vocabulary meaning in Instagram memes and analyze the contextual factors influencing these shifts. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with contextual semantic analysis. Data consisted of 30 memes from five popular Instagram accounts, analyzed for vocabulary, visual context, and social interaction. The results indicate that vocabulary changes include generalization, specialization, amelioration, pejoration, and total transformation. Influencing factors include visual context, Generation Z creativity, digital social interaction, as well as humor and satire. These findings confirm that Instagram memes function not only as entertainment but also as a laboratory for vocabulary meaning change in Indonesian.

Abstract

Penggunaan bahasa di media sosial, khususnya TikTok, menunjukkan fenomena perubahan etika berbahasa di kalangan remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk perubahan etika berbahasa remaja dalam komentar TikTok serta menganalisis makna ideologis di balik penggunaan bahasa tersebut berdasarkan perspektif pragmatik kritis. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis pragmatik kritis. Data berupa 250 komentar dari lima akun TikTok populer dikumpulkan melalui dokumentasi daring dan dianalisis dengan teori kesantunan Brown dan Levinson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi bald-on-record dan ujaran sarkastik paling dominan digunakan remaja, menandakan penurunan tingkat kesantunan berbahasa. Pola ujaran tidak santun mencerminkan kecenderungan remaja untuk mengekspresikan pendapat secara langsung dan emosional tanpa mempertimbangkan norma sosial. Dari perspektif pragmatik kritis, perilaku berbahasa tersebut merupakan bentuk resistensi dan ekspresi identitas generasi Z di ruang digital. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pendidikan literasi digital dan etika berbahasa agar remaja mampu berkomunikasi secara santun dan bertanggung jawab di media sosial.The use of language on social media, particularly TikTok, reveals a phenomenon of changing linguistic ethics among teenagers. This study aims to describe the forms of linguistic ethics transformation in teenagers’ TikTok comments and to analyze the ideological meanings behind such linguistic practices through a critical pragmatic perspective. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method with a Critical Pragmatics approach. The data consist of 250 comments from five popular TikTok accounts, collected through online documentation and analyzed using Brown and Levinson’s politeness theory. The findings show that bald-on-record and sarcastic utterances are the most dominant strategies used by teenagers, indicating a decline in linguistic politeness. These patterns reflect teenagers’ tendency to express opinions directly and emotionally without considering social norms. From a critical pragmatic perspective, such language behavior represents a form of resistance and identity expression among Generation Z in digital spaces. The findings emphasize the importance of digital literacy and linguistic ethics education to promote polite and responsible communication on social media.

Abstract

Abstract This study analyzes the representation of Islamic educational values in Ustadz Khalid Zeed Abdullah Basalamah’s digital sermons using Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis. Employing a qualitative download–note method, the research examines sermon data from 2022–2024. The findings reveal that Basalamah’s sermons represent values of monotheism, ethics, knowledge, and social responsibility through assertive and educative religious language. His discourse fosters moral and spiritual awareness among digital audiences and integrates textual, discursive, and social dimensions of Islamic preaching. These results support Nurdin and Fauzan’s (2025) view that digital da’wah functions as moral education for contemporary Muslim society. Abstract

Teachers’ language use in the classroom greatly influences the creation of a conducive, inclusive, and violence-free learning environment, free from verbal abuse and gender bias. This study at SDN 2 Sukowilangun aims to enhance teachers’ competence in using educational and child-friendly language through training in nonviolent communication and gender literacy. The mentoring results indicate positive changes in teachers’ communication patterns, a calmer classroom atmosphere, and increased student participation. Participant evaluations show improved understanding and commitment to applying communication practices that are free from violence and gender bias. This activity makes a significant contribution to building a safe and inclusive primary education environment.    Penggunaan bahasa guru dalam pembelajaran sangat memengaruhi suasana kelas yang kondusif, inklusif, dan bebas kekerasan verbal serta bias gender. Studi di SDN 2 Sukowilangun bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam penggunaan bahasa edukatif dan ramah anak melalui pelatihan komunikasi nonviolent dan literasi gender. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan perubahan positif dalam pola komunikasi guru, suasana kelas yang lebih tenang, serta meningkatnya partisipasi siswa. Evaluasi peserta mengindikasikan pemahaman dan komitmen yang meningkat untuk menerapkan komunikasi bebas kekerasan dan bias gender. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam menciptakan pendidikan dasar yang aman dan inklusif.
