Abstract

PMTCT (Preventing from mother to Child transmision) is one of the methods to prevent HIV transmission from mother to baby. To support this program, a VCT ( Voluntary Counseling Test) is performed on all primigravidas when carrying out Antenatal Care. The phenomenon that occurred was found that there were still primigravida who did not perform VCT examination during Antenatal Care visits. So it is very important to analyze the level of knowledge of primigravida mothers about VCT and VCT examination behavior at the Marie Stopes Clinic, Timor Leste. The research design was analytic with a cross-sectional design. The population was all primigravida mothers who visited the Marie Stopes Clinic. The research design was analytic with a cross-sectional design. The population was all primigravida mothers who visited the Marie Stopes Clinic, totaling 87 people, while the research sample were 34 people. The researcher used accidental sampling to measure research sample. Observational sheet and questionnaire were used to collect the data. Data was analyzed by Chi Square Statistical Test with (p.value = 0.001) that means there was a relationship between primigravida’s knowledge about VCT and behavior to do VCT examination. Factors which play an important role in supporting knowledge of primigravida were age, education and occupation. In addition, health workers take a greatly part in supporting this program, therefore it is expected that health workers will continue to implement integrated antenatal care services especially VCT examination for pregnant woman.

Abstract

Until now, sexual issues are still considered taboo. But sex is a need. If one need is not met, it will cause psychological disorders for both the pregnant woman and her partner. Or it can even cause a breakdown in household relationships. The purpose of this research is to find out the relationship between knowledge and Coitus behavior In Pregnant Women in the First Trimester at BPM Rosa Siskawati, Plosoklaten District, Kediri Regency. The design of this research is a correlational research approach cross sectional. Respondents are recruited using techniques Purposive Sampling who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The population studied was all pregnant women in the first trimester with a sample of 30 mothers. The Independent Variable studied is Knowledge and the Dependent Variable is Coitus behavior In First Trimester Pregnant Women. The results were analyzed using statistical tests Spearman Rank. The research results showed that knowledge of pregnant women in the first trimester was known to almost all respondents in the Good category, 23 (77%) respondents. Behavior Coitus For pregnant women in the first trimester, it was found that the majority of respondents were in the mild category, 19 (63%) respondents. The results of data analysis show that the significance level is 0.000 < α = 0.05 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted thus there is a Relationship between Knowledge and Behavior Coitus In Pregnant Women in the First Trimester at BPM Rosa Siskawati, Plosoklaten District, Kediri Regency. Based on the research results, it is hoped that mothers should actively seek information about the dangers of having sexual intercourse during pregnancy and be able to find out the risks to the development of the fetus in the womb if the frequency of intercourse is irregular and even if the position of intercourse is uncomfortable.

Abstract

High purine consumption is a factor that is closely related to hyperuricemia. Apart from that, hyperuricemia is also closely related to the occurrence of increased blood pressure (hypertension). The aim of this research is to determine the effect of consuming a high purine diet on increasing uric acid levels and blood pressure in the elderly in Kediri Regency. The research method used was observational analytics with a cross sectional design. The research results in this study are that there is a significant influence between a high purine diet and uric acid levels and blood pressure in the elderly in Kediri Regency. This can be seen from statistical tests using Linear Regression, which showed a significant influence of Sig (2-tailed) between high purine diet consumption and uric acid levels (DP-AU=0.000) with a value of α≤0.05, there was a significant influence of Sig. (2-tailed) between Uric Acid Levels and Increased Systolic Blood Pressure in the elderly (AU-TS=0.028) and diastolen blood pressure (AU-TD = 0.032) with a value of α≤0.05, meaning the hypothesis is accepted that there is a significant influence Between a high purine diet and uric acid levels and blood pressure in the elderly in Kediri Regency. Excessive intake of a diet high in purine causes the accumulation of purine crystals to build up in certain joints which can increase uric acid levels in the blood. High uric acid levels can cause increased blood pressure through the mechanisms, inflammation of the kidneys and endothelium, activation of the renin-angiotensin system, depletion of nitric oxide, proliferation of smooth muscle cells, formation of superoxide, mitochondrial dysfunction, and activation of the polyol pathway.
