<![CDATA[Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 14 Palu pada materi perkalian faktor bentuk aljabar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT berbantuan blok aljabar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang mengacu pada model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yakni perencanaan, tindakan dan observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT berbantuan blok aljabar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 14 Palu pada materi perkalian faktor bentuk aljabar, dengan fase sebagai berikut: 1) menyampaikan tujuan dan memotivasi siswa, 2) menyajikan informasi, 3) penomoran (numbering), 4) pengajuan pertanyaan (questioning), 5) berpikir bersama (heads together), 6) pemberian jawaban (answering), dan 7) pemberian penghargaan. Pada fase 1 peneliti menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran dan manfaat pembelajaran untuk memotivasi siswa; pada fase 2 peneliti menyajikan informasi mengenai penggunaan blok aljabar pada perkalian faktor bentuk aljabar dan pemfaktorannya; pada fase 3 peneliti mengatur siswa untuk bergabung ke dalam kelompok dengan nomor anggota 1 s.d. 4; pada fase 4 peneliti memberikan soal-soal kepada siswa dalam bentuk LKS; pada fase 5 siswa diminta untuk berpikir bersama dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal pada LKS dan peneliti memberikan bimbingan seperlunya; pada fase 6 peneliti menyebut satu nomor dan siswa yang memiliki nomor tersebut mempresentasikan hasil LKS kelompoknya di depan kelas; dan pada fase 7 peneliti memberikan penghargaan kepada setiap kelompok. Abstract: The objectives of this research is to improve student’s learning outcomes in grade VIII A SMP Negeri 14 Palu on multiplication of algebraic factor through cooperative learning of NHT with the assist of block algebra. This research was a classroom action research which refers to the Kemmis’ and Mc. Taggart’s design, that is plan, action and observation, and reflection. This research consist of two cycles. This research’s result indicating that cooperative learning of NHT with the assist of block algebra can improve student’s learning outcomes in grade VIII A SMP Negeri 14 Palu on multiplication of algebraic factor, with following the phases, those are: 1) conveying the learning objective and motivating, 2) presenting information, 3) numbering, 4) questioning, 5) heads together, 6) answering, and 7) giving appreciation. At the 1th phase, researcher convey the learning purpose and benefit to motivate the students; at the 2nd phase, researcher presented block algebra usage on multiplication of algebraic factor and the factoring; at the 3rd phase, researchers set of students to join the group with the numbers 1 to 4 members; at the 4th phase, researcher gave task in worksheet to the students; at the 5th phase, the students were asked to think together in doing their worksheet and researcher guided them to do that; at the 6th phase, researcher mentioned one number and the students who have the number presented their worksheet in front of the class; and at the 7th phase, researcher gave appreciation to each group.
