Abstract

Abstract: This research aim to description about applying cooperative learning model type NHT in an attempt improve student learning outcomes on circle with the subject of the relationship between the magnitude of the central angle, the length of the arc and the area of the circle in class VIIIA SMP Negeri 13 Sigi. This research in classroom action research which refers to Kemmis and Mc. Taggart research design that including are are 1) planning, 2) doing, 3) observation, and 4) reflection. This research was conducted in two cycles. The results showed that the results of observations of teacher activity in cycle I and cycle II obtained very good criteria for success. The results of observations of the activities of students in cycle I are obtaining good success criteria, and have increased in cycle II, namely obtaining very good success criteria. The percentage of classical learning completeness in cycle I is 67,74% and has increased in cycle II by 74,19%. From the results of the research, it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model type NHT can improve student learning outcome on circle in class VIIIA SMP Negeri 13 Sigi it follow the phases: 1) grouping and numbering, 2) questioning or probleming, 3) heads together, and 4) answering or evaluating. Keywords: Cooperative learning model type numbered heads together, learning outcomes, circle.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of community service program (PKM) in utilizing household gardens for vegetable cultivation (olericulture) as an effort to reduce household consumption expenditure among women in Tendadongi Village, North Pamona District, Poso Regency. The program was implemented over five months involving 50 participants through a participatory learning approach combining theoretical training, direct practice, and continuous mentoring. Results demonstrated that 86% of participants successfully developed productive gardens with an average reduction in household consumption expenditure of 20–30% per month or IDR 150,000–250,000. Vegetable consumption frequency increased from 2–3 times to 4–5 times per week, reflecting significant improvement in family nutrition quality. The formation of an active productive garden community ensures program sustainability post-training. In conclusion, vegetable cultivation in household gardens is an effective strategy for strengthening household food security and reducing household food consumption burden.
