Abstract

The development of the halal cosmetics industry is rapidly growing, especially among students as active consumers of Wardah products. The proposed study will examine how the Islamic brand image, product innovation, and online shopping experience affect consumer loyalty using customer satisfaction as an intervening variable. This research uses a quantitative approach with a sample size of 96 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) method was used to analyze the data with the help of the Partial Least Squares algorithm. The findings of the research indicate that product innovation is a major factor that influences customer satisfaction, but the Islamic brand image and online shopping experience are not major factors in influencing customer satisfaction. Additionally, customer satisfaction is an important factor in consumer loyalty and can mediate the effects of all independent variables on consumer loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the rahn contract in Sharia Pawnshops to improve the economy of farmers in Kadur District, Pamekasan Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type, with the research subjects including Sharia Pawnshop employees and farmers using rahn-based financing. Data was collected through interview, observation, and documentation techniques, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model interactively. The results of the study show that the rahn contract is effective in providing quick and easy access to capital for farmers, supporting the smooth running of agricultural production activities, and contributing to increasing household economic stability. However, its implementation still faces obstacles in the form of low financial literacy, dependence on collateral assets, and limited access to services in rural areas.

Abstract

Backgound. Islamic-based cafes face dual responsibilities: achieving business success while implementing Islamic economic principles. Customer satisfaction in Islamic perspective encompasses not only material fulfillment but also spiritual dimensions based on maqasid sharia principles (hifz ad-din, an-nafs, al-'aql, an-nasl, al-mal). However, conventional satisfaction measurements often neglect these spiritual-ethical aspects, creating a gap in understanding holistic customer satisfaction in Islamic business contexts. Aim. This study examines the influence of service quality, price, and cafe atmosphere on customer satisfaction with purchase decision as a mediating variable at Kancakona Kopi Sumenep, integrating maqasid sharia perspective to provide comprehensive understanding of customer satisfaction in islamic cafe business. Methods. Quantitative research with 96 respondents analyzed using SEM-PLS SmartPLS 3.0 to test direct, indirect effects and mediation roles. Results. Price has the strongest influence on both purchase decisions and customer satisfaction, demonstrating successful implementation of Islamic pricing justice (qimah į¾±dilah) and bilateral wealth protection (hifz al-mal). Cafe atmosphere significantly affects purchase decisions, reflecting its role as a conducive Islamic environment (bi'ah solihah) supporting protection of intellect and soul (hifz al-'aql and hifz an-nafs). Service quality directly affects customer satisfaction, indicating that excellence of service (ihsan) manifests in post-consumption evaluation. Purchase decision partially mediates the relationships between price and satisfaction as well as atmosphere and satisfaction. From the maqasid sharia perspective, fair pricing and conducive atmosphere successfully transform into customer satisfaction through cognitive-evaluative processes embedded in purchase decisions, yet service excellence operates through direct achievement of holistic wellbeing (maslahah).

Abstract

Baitul Mal wa Tamwil (BMT) as Islamic microfinance institutions face challenges in creating sustainable service differentiation amid increasingly intense financial sector competition. This research develops the Community-Embedded Islamic Service Excellence (CEISE) Model as a theoretical framework to understand how the integration of Islamic values and community engagement creates competitive advantages in BMT operations. Using a qualitative case study approach at BMT NU East Java Pasongsongan Branch, the study involved in-depth interviews with 10 staff members and 15 customers, observation, and document analysis. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman thematic analysis framework. Findings demonstrate that CEISE Model implementation through four main dimensions: Spiritual Service Dimension (SSD), Community Integration Mechanism (CIM), Adaptive Accessibility Framework (AAF), and Sustainable Intimacy Balance (SIB) successfully creates distinctive value propositions. Service innovations such as "door-to-door service" systems (73% utilization), temporal flexibility (67% staff), and Islamic values-based approaches resulted in 89% customer retention, +73 Net Promoter Score, and 56% community participation. Integration of Islamic values (justice, trustworthiness, excellence, public interest) at every service touchpoint creates emotional bonds transcending transactional relationships. This research provides theoretical contribution through CEISE Model development filling literature gaps on service excellence in religious-cultural contexts and practically provides strategic framework for BMT service optimization.
