Abstract

Digital innovation is an important aspect in improving educational performance in the era of ever-evolving technology. This study aims to explore the impact of implementing a digital-based management system in improving school operational efficiency and the quality of education. The focus of the problem in this study is how the implementation of technology can improve various managerial aspects in the world of education, including administrative management, learning processes, and communication between educators, students, and parents. The use of Information Technology in education has become a key factor in improving the quality of learning in the digital era. This study aims to analyze how the application of ICT contributes to improving the quality of education, both in terms of learning methods, access to information, and the effectiveness of interactions between educators and students. The research methods used are literature studies and qualitative analysis of various ICT implementations in formal and non-formal education environments. The results of the study show that the use of ICT, such as e-learning platforms, digital learning applications, and educational social media, can enrich the learning process, increase learning motivation, and expand the reach of education to previously difficult-to-reach areas. However, challenges such as the digital divide, lack of teacher training, and limited infrastructure still need serious attention. Thus, optimal and sustainable ICT integration is needed to support the achievement of quality education in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to design a Decision Support System (DSS) to objectively determine restocking priorities in Dawa Supermarket. The main challenge faced is the difficulty in identifying which items should be prioritized for reordering amidst fluctuating sales levels and product diversity, which poses the risk of understocking or overstocking. The method used is the Technique of Preference Ordering by Similarity to the Ideal Solution (TOPSIS), utilizing evaluation criteria such as sales levels, remaining stock, lead time, and item prices. The calculation process involves identifying alternatives with the shortest distance from the positive ideal solution and the longest distance from the negative ideal solution to produce a final preference value. The results show that the application of the TOPSIS method provides more accurate and measurable recommendations for procurement priorities, thereby assisting Dawa Supermarket management in optimizing shelf availability and improving working capital turnover efficiency

Abstract

The selection of an optimal housing location is a complex decision-making process involving multiple conflicting criteria, such as accessibility, environmental conditions, land price, and proximity to public facilities. This study develops a Decision Support System (DSS) for selecting the best housing location in the Jalan Baru area using the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method. The TOPSIS method is chosen for its ability to rank alternatives based on their geometric distance to both positive and negative ideal solutions. Several criteria were considered, including land price, distance to the city center, road access, availability of utilities (water, electricity), and proximity to schools, markets, and health facilities. Data were collected through field surveys and spatial analysis. The results show that the TOPSIS method effectively identifies the most suitable housing location by providing a clear preference order among alternatives. The proposed DSS offers a transparent, systematic, and objective tool for property developers and local governments to support housing site selection decisions. This study contributes to the application of multi-criteria decision-making in urban planning and real estate development

Abstract

The rapid growth of the culinary industry, particularly cafés, requires business owners to make accurate decisions in determining the most popular menu items. In many cases, identifying best-selling menu items is still done manually based on estimation, which can lead to inaccuracies and poor decision-making. Therefore, a Decision Support System (DSS) is needed to assist in determining the best-selling menu items objectively and systematically. This study aims to design and implement a Decision Support System to determine the best-selling menu items in a café using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The SAW method is chosen because it can evaluate multiple criteria with a simple and easy-to-understand calculation process. The criteria used in this study include sales quantity, price, customer rating, and serving time. Each criterion is assigned a different weight based on its level of importance. The result of this study is a system capable of ranking menu items based on the highest preference values. With this system, café owners can more easily determine sales strategies, improve service quality, and optimize business profits

Abstract

Selecting the right security software is a critical decision for cloud infrastructure managers. This research aims to determine the best Intrusion Detection System (IDS) software using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The evaluation process involves several key criteria, such as detection accuracy, resource consumption, ease of implementation, and cost. Several IDS alternatives, including Snort, Suricata, and Zeek, were compared through pairwise comparisons to obtain a priority ranking. The results of this study provide a quantitative basis for decision-making in choosing the most effective security solution. The implementation of AHP proves to be efficient in resolving complex multi-criteria problems in the field of cloud security

Abstract

The selection of outstanding students is an important process in educational institutions to recognize academic and non-academic achievements. However, the process is often carried out subjectively and lacks a systematic approach, which can lead to less accurate and inconsistent results. This study aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to assist in selecting outstanding students at SMA Negeri 1 Padang. The SAW method is applied to evaluate multiple criteria, including academic performance, extracurricular activities, attendance, behavior, and achievements. Each criterion is assigned a weight based on its level of importance, and the alternatives (students) are ranked according to the final score obtained from the SAW calculation. The results of this study indicate that the proposed system is capable of providing objective, transparent, and efficient recommendations in determining outstanding students. The implementation of the DSS is expected to support decision-makers in producing fair and accurate selections
