Abstract

The Eid al-Fitr holiday is closely associated with changes in eating patterns and decreased physical activity, which can affect body weight. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Eid al-Fitr holiday on changes in body weight among sixth-semester students of the Public Health Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Parepare in 2025. This was a descriptive quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach involving 14 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through direct body weight measurements before and after the holiday using the same digital scale, and an online questionnaire about dietary habits and physical activity. The results showed that 71.43% of students experienced weight gain, 14.29% experienced weight loss, and 14.29% showed no change, with an average weight gain of 0.64 kg. Most students reported increased meal frequency (80%), high-fat food consumption (80%), and decreased physical activity (85%). In conclusion, the Eid holiday influenced weight gain among students due to changes in eating patterns and reduced physical activity. Continuous education on maintaining balanced nutrition and physical activity during holidays is necessary to prevent long-term health risks.

Abstract

Water and environmental management issues in rural areas remain a significant challenge that directly affects community well-being. One of the most common problems encountered is waterlogging caused by high rainfall and the limited availability of natural drainage systems.To address this issue, biopore technology has been implemented in Lipukasi Village, Tanete Rilau Sub-district, Barru Regency. This program was also designed to raise public awareness of the importance of water conservation and sustainable environmental management through the use of biopores. The implementation method employed a participatory approach, involving local residents directly in the construction of biopore infiltration holes at several strategic locations within the village. The activity focused not only on technical aspects but also emphasized education through training and community outreach. Evaluation results indicate that the application of biopore technology has had a positive impact, marked by improved soil absorption capacity, reduced water stagnation, and increased soil fertility due to natural composting processes occurring within the biopores.The success of this program demonstrates that biopore technology offers a practical and environmentally friendly solution for water management in rural areas.

Abstract

Latar belakang belakang Rumah sakit merupakan institusi pelayanan kesehatan yang memegang peran penting dalam sistem kesehatan nasional, terutama dalam menyediakan layanan rujukan bersifat kuratif dan rehabilitatif. Tujuan Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi bed management berdasarkan Model Implementasi Kebijakan Edward III (komunikasi, sumber daya, disposisi, dan struktur birokrasi) dalam meningkatkan efisiensi pelayanan rawat inap di RSUD La Patarai Kabupaten Barru.Metode Penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan telaah dokumen. Informan dipilih melalui Purposive Sampling.Analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil Komunikasi berjalan melalui SIMRS dan koordinasi langsung, namun masih terdapat keterlambatan pembaruan data tempat tidur. Sumber daya manusia dan teknologi telah tersedia, tetapi kapasitas tempat tidur belum optimal pada kondisi lonjakan pasien. Disposisi tenaga kesehatan menunjukkan komitmen yang baik, meskipun beban kerja tinggi memengaruhi konsistensi pelaksanaan. Struktur birokrasi telah memiliki pembagian tugas, namun sinkronisasi data antar unit masih perlu diperkuat. Kesimpulan Implementasi bed management di RSUD La Patarai Kabupaten Barru telah berjalan cukup baik pada seluruh aspek Model Edward III, namun belum optimal.Penguatan koordinasi, sinkronisasi data real-time, dan peningkatan kapasitas sumber daya diperlukan untuk mencapai efisiensi pelayanan rawat inap yang optimal.
