Abstract

Abstrak: Desa Pasirukem termasuk desa terkecil di Kabupaten Karawang. Selain bertani, salah satu mata pencaharian mayoritas penduduk adalah menjual produk pangan. Minimnya pengetahuan dan kemampuan produksi membuat proses pembuatan produk pangan masih berlangsung secara tradisional, hanya dikemas dengan plastik, dan tidak memperhatikan keramahan lingkungan. Tujuan program pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan pelaku usaha Desa Pasirukem akan pentingnya usaha ramah lingkungan melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan kemasan ramah lingkungan. Kegiatan diikuti 20 pelaku usaha pangan. Tingkat ketercapaian program terlihat pada peningkatan hasil pre-test dan post-test yang dibagikan kepada peserta. Hasil akhir rata-rata memperlihatkan 92,5% peserta memahami tentang usaha ramah lingkungan dan 87,5% peserta memahami pembuatan kemasan ramah lingkungan. Melalui pelatihan ini tercipta kemasan ramah lingkungan sehingga menciptakan nilai tambah sebagai produk oleh-oleh khas Karawang. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi cikal bakal pembuatan kemasan ramah lingkungan untuk produk pangan lokal lainnya dan meningkatnya daya saing produk pangan lokal Desa Pasirukem. Abstract: Desa Pasirukem is one of the smallest villages in Kabupaten Karawang. In addition to farming, one of the livelihoods of the majority of the population is selling pfood products. The lack of knowledge and production skills means that the process of making food products is still carried out traditionally, only packaged in plastic, and not pay attention to environmental friendliness. The purpose of this community service program is to increase the knowledge and skills of Desa Pasirukem business actors regarding the importance of environmentally friendly businesses through socialization and training in environmentally friendly packaging. The activity was attended by 20 food business actors. The level of program achievement can be seen in the increase in pre-test and post-test results distributed to participants. The final results on average show that 92.5% of participants understand environmentally friendly businesses and 87.5% of participants understand making environmentally friendly packaging. Environmentally friendly packaging was created through this training, thereby creating added value as a signature Karawang product. This activity is expected to be the forerunner to the creation of environmentally friendly packaging for other local food products and increase the competitiveness of local food products in Pasirukem Village.
