Abstract

This study aims to identify the current condition of the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) in Jumput and to explore the various factors contributing to its lack of significant development. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with the research conducted in Jumput Village, Sokosewu District, Bojonegoro Regency. Informants were selected using the maximum variation sampling technique to capture diverse perspectives. Four informants were involved, including the BUMDes leadership and staff, with the Village Secretary serving as the key informant and the BUMDes leader as the main informant. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, documentation, and field observations. The analysis was carried out interactively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The process involved filtering raw data, organizing information into narrative or graphical forms, and verifying conclusions using additional data. The results revealed several inhibiting factors to the development of BUMDes Jumput, including a lack of social integration, low community participation, weak leadership, poor conflict management, limited access to resources and information, and insufficient support from both governmental and non-governmental institutions. To overcome these obstacles, strategic steps are recommended such as strengthening social cohesion, enhancing community involvement, improving leadership quality, implementing effective conflict resolution mechanisms, increasing access to resources, and fostering stronger collaboration with relevant stakeholders. These efforts are expected to enhance the operational effectiveness of BUMDes and contribute to the overall welfare of the village community. Abstract

This study aims to describe the mapping of village assets by Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in supporting the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the tourism sector, especially in Geger Village. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method used in this study to gain an in-depth understanding of the process, actor involvement, and obstacles in mapping village assets. The results of the study show that the mapping process was carried out in a participatory manner, involving BUMDes administrators, village government, RT, RW, MSME actors, and village activists. Mapping begins with determining the theme of the discussion as the basis for identifying assets, which are then visualized in the form of a spatial representation of the village area. However, the main obstacle faced is the less than optimal utilization of assets, especially the available natural resources. Most assets such as reservoirs, empty land, fields, and rice fields have not been utilized effectively for tourism activities. Of the six existing reservoirs, only one has been managed for tourism purposes, while the rest have not been utilized. This reflects the still low understanding and capacity of village asset management by stakeholders. This study recommends increasing capacity and cross-sector collaboration to optimize the use of village assets to support the development of sustainable tourism MSMEs.
