Abstract

Adolescence is a challenging time, both physically, emotionally and socially. In this case, mental health is one of the issues that is often overlooked. And religion as a system of values ​​and beliefs that has great potential in supporting the psychology and social of adolescents. This article aims to comprehensively analyze the role of religion in supporting mental health in adolescents through psychological and sociological approaches. Therefore, understanding the role of religion and mental health in adolescents is very important in the context of Indonesian culture which is rich in religion, and can support the mental health of the community.

Abstract

This study aims to examine academic anxiety from the perspective of Muslim students. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with five Muslim students from various universities in Jakarta and its surroundings. The results of the study revealed that academic anxiety is influenced by internal and external factors, such as high grade demands, parental pressure, and fear of failure. Islamic values such as tawakal, patience, and ikhtiar are effective coping mechanisms in managing this anxiety. Religious activities, including prayer, supplication, dhikr, and reading the Qur'an, play an important role in calming the mind and strengthening students' emotional resilience. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating spiritual values into strategies for managing academic anxiety for Muslim students.

Abstract

Islamic character in the youth is significantly influenced by various factors, Including religious education and their psychological understanding of Islamic teachings. This study aims to explore how the psychology of religion plays a role in the formation of Islamic character in the youth of Indonesia. In this study, the psychology of religion is understood as the science that examines the impact of religion on an individual's psychological development, including in the aspects of morality and ethics. The formation of Islamic character in the youth can be carried out through an integrative approach, combining the principles of psychology with Islamic values. This research uses a qualitative approach by analyzing literature and case studies related to the psychology of religion and Islamic education in Indonesia. The results of the study indicate that the application of psychology of religion in education can form a strong Islamic character by instilling moral values in accordance with Islamic teachings, such as honesty, discipline, and empathy.

Abstract

Mental health is a crucial aspect of life. Humans live not only by maintaining their physical health but also by taking care of their mental well-being. Mental health can be influenced by various factors, one of which is religion. In this regard, religion plays a significant role in maintaining a person's mental health. This study was conducted to examine the role of religion in human mental health. The research used a qualitative approach with a literature study method. A literature study is a method that relies on secondary data sources from various existing scientific references, conducted by reading books, journals, or articles with relevant topics to be analyzed and explored further. This study found several important roles of religious psychology in shaping mental health, along with its various functions.

Abstract

The development of social media has a major influence on the lives of Muslim adolescents, especially in shaping their understanding and practice of religion. This study uses a semi-structured in- depth interview method with 10 adolescents aged 15-19 years in Jakarta and surrounding areas to explore the meaning of religion in the context of social media. The results show that religion is seen as a source of peace, moral guidance, and social identity, while social media acts as a means of education as well as a source of challenges in religious practice. This study concludes that critical guidance on the use of social media is needed by families and educators so that adolescents can interpret religion in a healthy way in the digital era.
