Abstract

Plantations, agriculture, and livestock farming are the main sources of raw materials that will be processed into food to meet basic human needs at all times. Aligned with the development of technology and knowledge in producing and developing these foodstuffs, architectural objects are needed as facilities to increase community potential and opportunities through innovative learning, applied research in the agricultural industry, sustainable plantations, as well as creating economic, educational, and cultural engagement activities, as well social issues related to food and agriculture. The Kubu Raya Agriculture Learning Center can act as one of the supporting institutions for improving the quality of agriculture in Kubu Raya. The design process of the Kubu Raya Agriculture Learning Center involves several stages, starting with collecting primary and secondary data through case studies, analysis, concept synthesis, and pre-planning. Through a Sustainable Architecture design approach that considers aspects of safety, comfort, health, and aesthetic and adapts its function, the Kubu Raya Agriculture Learning Center building is divided into seven radial masses, creating a mass division according to the building's main function, such as education, management and service, and support. In addition, the Sustainable Architecture design approach is presented through building orientation, window placement in areas that require a lot of light and air, building facades with local ornaments, roof design, utilization of vegetation as a natural buffer, and the presence of electricity reserves can optimize the function of the building.
