Abstract

Purpose: This community service program was conducted in collaboration with Perwakos, a transgender organization in Surabaya, to strengthen economic resilience and institutional capacity. The program aimed to equip participants with digital skills focused on online business and video content creation as marketing strategies. Design/Methodology/Approach: The program began with a needs assessment through initial discussions, followed by structured training on online business, video production techniques, and digital marketing. Hands-on practice accompanied each session. Evaluation methods included pre-tests, post-tests, and assessment of participants’ video projects. Findings: Participants demonstrated notable improvement in digital skills, particularly in creating market-oriented video content. The program also contributed to the development of the Perwakos core team and facilitated network-building with external stakeholders. Practical Implications: The outcomes of this program support the transition of marginalized communities from reliance on informal sectors toward sustainable entrepreneurship. The program also provided practical tools and motivational support to overcome technological and attitudinal barriers. Originality/Value: This initiative presents an inclusive model of digital-based economic empowerment tailored for transgender communities. The integration of skill-building, mindset transformation, and support infrastructure offers long-term value for reducing social stigma and enhancing self-reliance.

Abstract

Technological developments in this decade have made online trading increasingly popular, especially among young people, namely students, where they can invest with minimal capital and learn to understand global economic developments. PT Agrodana Futures as a verified company can be a forum for students to invest early on. This research also aims to analyze the influence of independent variables in the form of benefits and services on students' online trading interest. The population in the study were UKDC students with a sample of 50 active students majoring in UKDC management. The type of research used is quantitative research using a questionnaire as a research instrument. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling or objective sampling. In this research, data processing uses SPSS version 25. Based on the results of data processing, it is said that all statement items are declared valid and all variables are declared reliable, and the classical assumption test is met. Based on the T test results, it can be concluded that services and benefits have a significant influence on student interest in Online Trading.

Abstract

The background of this study is to understand how gender representation in advertising can influence purchase decision through brand image. This study specifically aims to examine how gender stereotypes and female advertising affect customer purchase decisions by focusing on brand image as a mediating factor. This study is a descriptive studies with cross-sectional method. A total of 201 respondents were given a questionnaire by the researcher, who used a quantitative method. Respondents were given a questionnaire with a Likert scale (1-5) to capture their views on gender representation and its effects. SmartPLS version 4 was used for data processing. The sample of this study is women from Generation-Z born between 1997 and 2012, from upper-middle economic strata products who have bought cosmetics in Jakarta. The study findings shows that gender stereotypes, female advertising, and brand image each positively impact purchase decisions. Additionally, both gender stereotypes and female advertising were shown positively impact brand image. Moreover, brand image was confirmed to have a significant mediating effect between gender stereotypes, female advertising, and purchase decisions. These findings show the importance of gender representation in advertising and its influence on brand image and purchase decision, providing insights for brands to create a marketing strategy for their advertising campaigns.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of profitability, liquidity, and firm size towards firm value on listed consumer cyclical companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from the year 2019-2021. Sample was selected by purposive sampling method and the selected data was 73 consumer cyclical companies. The data analysis method used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis to test the hypothesis and used SPSS V25 Software program and Microsoft Excel 365 to process data from this research. The results showed that profitability has no positive significant effect on firm value. However, liquidity and firm size have a negative significant effect on firm value. The implication of this research is the need of planning in increasing profitability, liquidity, and firm size in order to increase firm value.
