<![CDATA[The relationship between Israel and its exclusivism among nations invites new understanding with archaeological discoveries about the history of the nation's plurality. The meaning of the discovery of the history of pluralism is understood as the early history of the nation of Israel. There is also an understanding that the influence of the context of Israelite life (religious, social, economic, political and legal) occurred in the midst of pluralism. Similarly, based on the context of Israel's life recorded in Exodus 20:1-17, it is understood to have been formed by the process of assimilation and adaptation of various elements of Canaanite culture and religion around it. The purpose of writing this article is to discover the universal theological values of Exodus 20:1-17. The method used is the redaction analysis of social history. The result of this article's research is that the universal theological values of Exodus 20:1-17are: The ideology of living together in the midst of plurality, the legal foundation that became the regulation for Israel to establish relations with God and others and live in harmony with plurality, Abstrak Hubungan antara Israel dengan eksklusivismenya di antara bangsa-bangsa mengundang pemahaman baru dengan adanya penemuan arkeologi tentang sejarah kemajemukan bangsa tersebut. Pemaknaan dari penemuan sejarah kemajemukan itu dipahami sebagai sejarah awal bangsa Israel. Ada juga pemahaman bahwa pengaruh konteks hidup bangsa Israel (keagamaan, sosial, ekonomi, politik dan hukum) terjadi di tengah kemajemukan.
