Abstract

Krisis ekologis global menuntut respons teologis yang tidak sekadar bersifat etis, tetapi juga epistemologis dan praksis. Kajian ini menyusun kerangka integratif antara doktrin ineransi Alkitab, hermeneutika kontekstual, dan teologi stewardship untuk menjawab ketegangan antara otoritas Kitab Suci dan tanggung jawab ekologis gereja. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif-interpretatif berbasis studi literatur, teks-teks seperti Kejadian 1:26–28 dan 2:15 dianalisis secara historis-linguistik dan kontekstual untuk merumuskan pemahaman baru mengenai mandat manusia terhadap ciptaan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa reinterpretasi konsep “menguasai” (רָדָה, rādâ), “menaklukkan” (כָּבַשׁ, kābaš), “mengusahakan” (עָבַד, ʿābad), dan “memelihara” (שָׁמַר, šāmar) memungkinkan transformasi pemahaman iman yang berakar pada otoritas Alkitab dan sekaligus relevan terhadap krisis lingkungan. Teologi stewardship diposisikan sebagai ekspresi iman yang inkarnatif, menjembatani spiritualitas, liturgi, dan advokasi ekologis dalam praksis komunitas. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam pengembangan ekoteologi Kristen yang kontekstual dan performatif, serta menawarkan dasar konseptual bagi gereja untuk hadir sebagai agen transformasi ekologis melalui integrasi iman, sains, dan keadilan ciptaan.

Abstract

The global ecological crisis is not merely an environmental issue but reflects a theological rupture in the relationship between humanity, creation, and the power structures that sustain them. This study offers a theological critique of colonial ecologies by exploring the spiritual-ecological practices of the Dayak communities in Kalimantan, particularly the conservation of simpukng and the agrarian ritual of nyelapat taun. It employs a qualitative approach grounded in conceptual-reflective literature analysis, utilizing a postcolonial deconstructive methodology within ecotheology to interpret indigenous practices as theological-hermeneutical fields. The study reinterprets these traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) practices in light of the Christian doctrine of Imago Dei, which has often been framed within anthropocentric paradigms. The findings reveal that Dayak spirituality not only supports biodiversity conservation and ecosystem regeneration but also embodies a relational paradigm between humans and nature, rooted in the community’s spiritual laws. Through this approach, the article argues that caring for creation is not merely an ecological obligation but a theological vocation that requires dismantling exploitative power structures. The integration of local wisdom and Christian theology thus opens a decolonial path toward an ecological future that is holistic, just, and spiritually grounded.

Abstract

Abstract. Glossolalia is often reduced either to a meaningless linguistic deviation or to a form of private mysticism, shielded from theological critique and public reflection. This article proposes an alternative reading of glossolalia as verbum ineffabile—an apophatic utterance and prophetic liturgical act that signals divine presence beyond the boundaries of representation. Through a conceptual hermeneutical approach, this study integrates Wittgenstein’s language games and forms of life, Derrida’s différance and trace, and Caputo’s theopoetics of the event. The finding reveals that glossolalia is not merely a linguistic anomaly, but an embodied, communal, and subversive act of faith that disrupts established semiotic and liturgical structures.Abstrak. Glossolalia sering direduksi menjadi deviasi linguistik yang dianggap tidak bermakna, atau mistisisme privat yang tertutup bagi kritik teologis dan refleksi publik. Artikel ini mengusulkan pembacaan alternatif atas glossolalia sebagai verbum ineffabile, yaitu suatu bentuk ujaran apofatik dan tindakan liturgis profetik yang menyatakan kehadiran ilahi di luar batas representasi. Melalui pendekatan hermeneutika konseptual, studi kualitatif ini mengintegrasikan permainan bahasa (language games) dan bentuk kehidupan (forms of life) dari Wittgenstein, konsep différance dan jejak (trace) dari Derrida, serta teopoetika peristiwa (theopoetics of the event) dari Caputo. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa glossolalia bukan sekadar fenomena linguistik, melainkan praktik iman yang berinkarnasi secara komunal dan subversif terhadap struktur bahasa dan liturgi yang mapan.
