Abstract

This article examines the interconnection between macro-social developments and the dynamics of domestic family life in the Middle East, spanning from the pre-Islamic period to the contemporary era. Using a multidisciplinary approach that combines social science theory, cultural anthropology, and Islamic studies, this research examines the evolution of social structures, shifts in gender roles, and transformations in family fiqh practices. The primary focus is on the reforms introduced by Islam, as well as the impacts of modernization, globalization, and urbanization on both the nuclear family and extended family units. The study also integrates James Fowler’s theoretical perspective on the development of faith and Al-Ghazali’s philosophy on the nature of humanity to provide a holistic understanding of how spiritual and psychological dimensions shape social and domestic life patterns. This article contributes to the literature by presenting a concise evolutionary narrative that highlights the resilience and adaptability of Middle Eastern families.

Abstract

Eksistensi ekonomi syariah beberapa tahun belakangan ini menunjukkan perkembangan yang signifikan, peluncuran lembaga keuangan syariah serta produk-produk keuangan syariah menjadi tolak ukur terhadap perkembangan ekonomi syariah di indonesia. Berbagai penggiat keuangan syariah mulai dari lembaga swasta maupun pemerintahan ikut andil dalam perkembangan keuangan syariah, salah satunya yaitu green sukuk. Green Sukuk merupakan surat berharga syariah negara yang diterbitkan menggunakan prinsip green economy demi kelestarian lingkungan. Produk yang menggunakan prinsip syariah dasar hukumnya berasal dari Al-quran dan hadist. Kajian dalam penelitian ini menguraikan tafsir yang berkaitan dengan ayat-ayat yang berhubungan dengan green sukuk. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana kajian ilmu tafsir pada produk green sukuk yang menjadi perhatian penting dalam lingkup perekonomian terkhusus bagi perkembangan keuangan syariah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan uraian tafsir pada surah Al-A’raf ayat 58, Al-A’raf ayat 56, Ar-rum ayat 41 serta surah Al-Baqarah ayat 205 yang menunjukkan larangan terhadap perusakan lingkungan dan kesesuaian praktik green sukuk yang bertujuan kepada pemeliharaan lingkungan dan alam menjadikan produk green sukuk kombinasi yang efektif, bukan hanya halal tetapi juga thayyib. AbstractThe existence of sharia economy in recent years has shown significant development, the launch of sharia financial institutions and sharia financial products has become a benchmark for the development of sharia economy in Indonesia. Various sharia financial activists ranging from private and government institutions have taken part in the development of sharia finance, one of which is green sukuk. Green Sukuk is a state sharia security issued using the principle of green economy for environmental sustainability. Products that use sharia principles have legal basis from the Al-Quran and Hadith. The study in this research describes the interpretation related to the verses related to green sukuk. The purpose of this study is to find out how the study of interpretation on green sukuk products is an important concern in the scope of the economy, especially for the development of sharia finance. The results of the study show that based on the description of the interpretation of Surah Al-A'raf verse 58, Al-A'raf verse 56, Ar-rum verse 41 and Surah Al-Baqarah verse 205 which shows the prohibition of environmental destruction and the suitability of green sukuk practices aimed at maintaining the environment and nature makes green sukuk products an effective combination, not only halal but also thayyib.
