Abstract

Real Work Lecture (KKN) activities are a form of community service carried out by students in an interdisciplinary, institutional and partnership manner as a form of higher education tridharma activities. With KKN, what has been received during lectures can be applied directly to the community. With this KKN, it is hoped that it can increase the attitude of independence and teamwork for students. KKN activities can complement students' self-empowerment towards professional competence. With KKN activities, it is hoped that students will be able to serve themselves in the community using the knowledge gained from lectures.Real Work Lectures (KKN) are held for students taking health education to provide experience to students, especially in the community environment, and it cannot be ruled out that every student implementing KKN should be able to maintain polite behavior and cultural etiquette and position themselves correctly towards every citizen/ KKN location community in order to train and develop student competencies.

Abstract

Obesity in children aged 5-12 years in Indonesia is as much as 9.2% obesity. WHO data states that in 2022 more than 160 million children and adolescents are obese, from the data obtained also explains the prevalence of obesity in children and adolescents increased drastically from only 8% in 1990 to 20% in 2022. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of children's knowledge and obesity prevention behavior in students of grades IV, V and VI of SD Negeri 74 Bengkulu City in 2024. The method used in this study is quantitative with a Cross sectional approach. The sampling technique is using Stratified random Sampling using a sample of 79 respondents representing grades IV, V and VI of SD Negeri 74 Bengkulu City. The results of the univariate test analysis showed that more than half of the respondents (54.4%) had sufficient knowledge, more than half of the respondents (54.4%) had poor prevention behavior. The results of the study using the chi-square test showed a relationship between knowledge and behavior (p = 0.008) in grades IV, V, and VI of SD Negeri 74, Bengkulu City. The researcher suggested that this study be used as a reference source for the relationship between children's knowledge levels and obesity prevention behavior in elementary school students.

Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata atau KKN seeks to solve the problems faced by certain communities, Some of the effects of children's growth and development that are not in accordance with their age include inhibiting brain development, frequent pain / decreased immune system, excessive anxiety or fear, uncontrolled emotions, and cognitive disorders. Other long-term impacts are low reasoning ability and educational achievement as well as low work productivity. The purpose of this service is to increase mother's knowledge about growth and development stimulation for stunting prevention. The method of this activity is distributing leaflets, conducting counseling, and evaluating activities. This activity was held in rt 25 kelurahan sawah lebar kota bengkulu, with the number of participants being 10 mothers with toddlers. The results of the implementation of the activities that we carried out, there was an increase in mother's knowledge after counseling about stimulation of growth and development., this could be seen from the mother's response in the question and answer session. It is hoped that with this service activity, mothers can understand the importance of stimulating growth and development for toddlers and can apply it to everyday life
