Abstract

Indonesia's national education aims to develop the potential of students, one of which is through the cultivation of moral education. Moral education seeks to instill moral values and good character in students’ lives so that they become individuals with noble character. One effective method for shaping students' character is through the recitation of Juz ‘Amma. This study aims to explore the implementation of Juz ‘Amma recitation at SDI Nurul Hidayah as a strategy for moral education. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Based on the findings, the Juz ‘Amma recitation activities implemented at SDI Nurul Hidayah have proven effective in fostering students’ moral development. The routine of reciting Juz ‘Amma before lessons begin creates a religious environment and reinforces positive habits among students. Moreover, the recitation of Juz ‘Amma helps students to understand the moral values contained in the verses of the Qur’an, such as honesty, patience, and piety.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of scratch in building programming competencies at SMP NU Kaligesing, Purworejo. Scratch, as a visual programming language designed to make it easier for beginners, is expected to help students develop an understanding of basic programming concepts through an interactive and fun approach. This study uses a qualitative method with an interview approach and literature review. The results of the study show that the use of Scratch is effective in improving students' basic programming competencies, especially in the aspects of logic, algorithms, and creativity. In addition, students show high enthusiasm during the learning process due to the intuitive visual scratch interface and support the development of interesting projects. Scratch plays an important role in improving the programming skills of students at SMP NU Kaligesing, Purworejo with a visual approach that is easy to understand, but still intellectually challenging. The use of Scratch can be an effective learning model in schools even with limited resources.

Abstract

Purpose – This study investigates the management strategies of the School Operational Assistance (Dana BOS) fund in Islamic schools, with a specific focus on the integration of digital financial reporting, performance-based evaluation, and auditing mechanisms to improve educational quality and accountability. Design/methods – Using a qualitative library research design, the study systematically analyzed secondary sources—including peer-reviewed journals, academic texts, and government reports—related to educational finance, Islamic school governance, and public fund accountability. Literature was selected from reputable databases and categorized using thematic coding aligned with management functions such as planning, budgeting, implementation, and evaluation. Findings – The findings indicate that Islamic schools implementing digital reporting systems, external audits, and managerial training programs demonstrate more transparent and efficient BOS fund management. The study also reveals disparities in fund utilization between urban and rural Islamic schools, influenced by infrastructure, institutional capacity, and community participation. Schools that embraced integrated governance frameworks aligned with Islamic values achieved greater educational impact. Research implications/limitations – The research is limited by its reliance on secondary data, which may not capture localized implementation challenges or informal practices within school management. Further empirical studies involving field-based data collection are recommended to validate and deepen the findings. Practical implications – Policymakers should mandate digital reporting platforms, institutionalize external audits, and invest in managerial capacity-building to enhance BOS fund governance. Stakeholder involvement through school committees is essential to promote transparency and ensure fund alignment with educational priorities. Originality/value – This study contributes to the growing discourse on Islamic education finance by offering a context-specific framework that links digital innovation, managerial ethics, and participatory oversight. It provides evidence-based recommendations that support equitable, accountable, and outcome-driven use of public education funds in religious school contexts.

Abstract

Indonesia sebagai negara multikultural menghadapi tantangan serius berupa meningkatnya sikap intoleransi dan potensi radikalisme, bahkan di kalangan anak-anak usia sekolah dasar. Oleh karena itu, pendidikan dasar menjadi ranah strategis dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama sebagai pondasi transformasi karakter bangsa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi implementasi moderasi beragama dalam membentuk karakter siswa di SD N Sokowaten Baru. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman melalui tahapan reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekolah telah mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai moderasi seperti toleransi, gotong royong, dan penghargaan terhadap perbedaan melalui kegiatan pembelajaran, keteladanan guru, dan kolaborasi dengan orang tua serta masyarakat. Meskipun masih terdapat tantangan seperti keterbatasan pemahaman guru dan pengaruh negatif media digital, pendekatan kontekstual yang dilakukan sekolah terbukti efektif dalam membangun karakter moderat siswa. Dengan demikian, penanaman nilai moderasi beragama sejak pendidikan dasar merupakan langkah penting dalam mencetak generasi yang berakhlak, toleran, dan siap hidup dalam masyarakat yang plural.
