Abstract

Purpose – The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of gamification in the use of internet banking on the intention of customers to adopt and recommend internet banking towards Compatibility, Innovativeness, Web Design, Web Characteristic, Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy . This research will help the Bank to measure the effect of gamification towards their customer to use Internet Banking. So they can innovate their Internet Banking system to be more fun and entertaining, so the customer will feel more enjoy to use and they will recommend to other people. Design/methodology/approach – 192 responses were collected from customers of internet banking user by using an online questionnaire. Using the convenience sampling approach. The collected data was analyzed using SEM with the help of  PLS. Findings – The results indicate that intention to adopt internet banking is positively affected by Innovativeness, Web Design Performance Expectancy and Effort Expectancy . While compatibility and web characteristic doesn’t have a positive effect. The moderating effect of gamification suggested that the relationship between customer intention to adopt and customer intention to recommend will make the gamification effect become weak. Practical Implications – The research suggests that web designer and bank management should focus on the website design of the internet banking. Enjoyable internet banking website with reward and point system will help to improve user’s intention to adopt and intention to recommend internet banking with others. So the bank should make an innovative reward system for every transaction in internet banking. Originality/value – This research provide the technology acceptance construct and adding the game elements in technology perspective of internet banking as a moderating effect, to analyze the element effect towards intention to use and intention to recommend.

Abstract

This research was conducted conducted because there are still cases of accidents at PT. Samudra Oceaneering Batam by restricted work category in 2019 which resulted in the victim being unable to carry out his main job and had to be transferred to another job of an administrative nature, and the time lost from the accident is two working days. The consequences of these work accidents not only have an economic and social impact on the company but also have a moral impact on both the employee concerned and his co-workers. This also shows that the achievement of OHS performance has not been maximized by PT. Samudra Oceaneering Batam which can lead to a bad perception of company owners regarding OHS management in the workplace. The aim of this study was to explore the variables that affect the OHS performance at PT. Samudra Oceaneering Batam, so as to reduce the number of work accidents which in turn improves OHS performance. The methodology used in this study uses quantitative methods. The population in this study were all employees of PT. Samudra Oceaneering Batam at all levels with a total of 135 employees and the sample involved in this study was 101 respondents using the Likert scale method. The results of the questionnaire then were processed using SEM SmartPLS. The results of the SmartPLS quantitative data analysis can be concluded that the variable of safety culture has a positive but less significant effect on OHS performance, while employee behavior has a positive and significant effect on OHS performance. Other variables such as leadership style have a positive and significant effect on employee behavior and management commitment has a positive and significant effect on safety motivation. Meanwhile the variable of employee motivation has a negative and insignificant effect on OHS performance.

Abstract

The ethical standard of government workers is higher than the ethical standard of society in general. The behavior of government workers can have implications and get the public attention. This study aimed to analyze the direct and indirect effect of ethical leadership, authentic leadership, and organizational justice on follower ethical behavior of Dinas Pekerjaan Umum Penataan Ruang dan Perumahan Rakyat Provinsi Kalimantan Timur government workers. Quantitative research was conducted involving data from 99 government workers through online questionnaires. The data were then analyzed using the PLS-SEM analyses to test the hypothesis. The results showed that ethical leadership had a positive effect on followers’ ethical behavior and organizational justice. Meanwhile, organizational justice did not have a significant effect on followers’ ethical behavior. Authentic leadership moderates the relationship between ethical leadership and follower ethical behavior
