Abstract

Learning is an action taken by educators to provide knowledge and create an effective and efficient learning environment. Natural Science (IPA) is an important scientific discipline that studies living things and their life processes, and is always developing, IPA involves observing the universe with proper procedures to reach conclusions, and includes flora and fauna, which are important at every level of education. This research aims to implement RPG games as learning media to distinguish mammals and reptiles in an interesting way and develop educational games for this purpose. This research utilizes the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) methodology, which consists of six stages: concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution. MDLC is effective for developing simple multimedia applications. The use of MDLC in educational games increases children's learning interest and understanding, with results showing an increase in student success from 43.75% to 86%, which categorizes the performance as GOOD (B). This study successfully facilitated students in understanding the differences between mammals and reptiles through educational games. The test results showed a significant difference between the scores before and after using the application.

Abstract

The stone magpie has many enthusiasts among the community and breeders, but the disease suffered by the stone magpie is a serious problem. There are various diseases that attack and cause farmers to be unable to diagnose and difficult to know the type of disease, because knowledge about these diseases is still limited in diagnosing diseases that attack stone magpies. To diagnose the type of disease, you can use this method, you can find out the symptoms of the disease, then you can determine the diagnosis of the disease and take early prevention so that the disease does not spread. Therefore, we need a system that is able to diagnose the type of disease, so that breeders or the public can find out early on the types of diseases that will attack new magpies and anticipate transmission to other animals. The results of making this expert system will display symptoms that occur, diagnosis, and prevention so that they are not contagious, which can help breeders and the public to obtain information on types of diseases and be able to assist in maintaining the health of stone magpies.
