Abstract

21st century education is implemented by focusing on implementing learning on students. This research aims to obtain a description of STEAM-based mathematics learning that is integrated with learning strategies at the elementary, middle and high school levels. The research method used in this research is a systematic literature review (SLR), namely analyzing literature related to the STEAM approach to mathematics learning from journal articles published in the time period between 2014-2024. This research uses several articles published nationally and internationally. The literature review was carried out in an organized and comprehensive manner to see the impact of mathematics learning integrated with STEAM. The research results show that the application of STEAM integrated learning strategies is able to improve student’s skills. The challenges that exist during the implementation of STEAM-based learning strategies come from both within and outside the students. The challenges that arise show the importance of careful planning, training for educators, and the creation of a supportive learning environment to ensure the effectiveness of learning strategies in improving students' understanding and engagement as a whole. ABSTRAKPendidikan abad ke-21 dilaksanakan dengan memfokuskan pelaksanaan pembelajaran pada peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi tentang pembelajaran matematika berbasis STEAM yang terintegrasi dengan strategi pembelajaran pada tingkat SD, SMP dan SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah systematic literature review (SLR), yaitu menganalisis literatur terkait pendekatan STEAM pada pembelajaran matematika dari artikel jurnal yang diterbitkan pada trentang waktu antara 2014-2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan beberapa artikel yang terpublikasi nasional dan internasional. Pengkajian literatur dilakukan secara terorganisir dan komprehensif guna melihat dampak pembelajaran matematika yang terintegrasi dengan STEAM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi pembelajaran yang terintegrasi STEAM mampu meningkatkan keterampilan peserta didik. Tantangan yang ada selama pengimplementasian strategi pembelajaran berbasis STEAM berasal dari dalam diri maupun luar diri peserta didik. Tantangan-tantangan yang muncul menunjukkan pentingnya perencanaan yang matang, pelatihan untuk pendidik, serta penciptaan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung untuk memastika efektivitas strategi pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan peserta didik secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

This article was written using a literature review method that focuses on "students' mathematics anxiety factors and efforts to overcome them". Mathematics anxiety is one of the factors that affect student learning outcomes. A total of 26 articles have been analyzed to produce a literature review article. Many of these articles conducted research on SMP/MTS and SMA/SMK/MA students and research was conducted using a quantitative approach. The results of the analysis obtained the understanding of mathematics anxiety and anxiety, the factors that cause mathematics anxiety, and also how to overcome students' mathematics anxiety. There are three factors that influence math anxiety, namely personality factors, intellectual factors, and environmental factors. Students attempt to reduce the math anxiety they feel by reducing negative thinking about mathematics, being confident in their abilities, creating a relaxed and calm learning environment.
