Abstract

This study aims to identify the implementation strategies and challenges faced in applying the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach based on numeracy literacy mathematics learning. A systematic literature review method was employed, analyzing scholarly articles published between 2018 and 2024. The findings reveal that the main strategies in RME-based numeracy literacy include the use of realistic contexts, mathematical modeling, scaffolding, group discussions, and individual reflection. These strategies positively contribute to students’ conceptual understanding and numeracy skills. However, several challenges were also identified, such as limited teacher comprehension of RME philosophy, lack of contextual learning resources, and resistance to shifting from traditional teaching methods. These findings have significant implications for teacher training, the development of contextual teaching materials, and education policies that support numeracy literacy. The study concludes that the success of RME implementation heavily depends on the readiness of the educational ecosystem to support meaningful and contextual learning.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the relationship between religious moderation and tolerance in the context of society. Religious moderation is defined as a moderate attitude in religious practices, while tolerance refers to the ability of individuals or groups to accept differences and appreciate pluralism in society. The results of the analysis show a positive relationship between religious moderation and tolerance. Individuals who have a moderate attitude in religious practices tend to be more tolerant of differences and more accepting of pluralism in society. This research provides an important contribution to understanding the importance of religious moderation in building tolerance and harmony among religious communities. Proposed policy implications include increasing religious education that emphasizes the values of moderation and tolerance, as well as promoting interfaith dialogue to strengthen tolerance and harmony in society. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi hubungan antara moderasi beragama dan toleransi dalam konteks masyarakat. Moderasi beragama didefinisikan sebagai sikap moderat dalam praktik keagamaan, sementara toleransi merujuk pada kemampuan individu atau kelompok untuk menerima perbedaan dan menghargai pluralitas dalam masyarakat. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif antara moderasi beragama dan toleransi. Individu yang memiliki sikap moderat dalam praktik keagamaan cenderung lebih toleran terhadap perbedaan dan lebih menerima pluralitas dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memahami pentingnya moderasi beragama dalam membangun toleransi dan kerukunan antar umat beragama. Implikasi kebijakan yang diusulkan termasuk peningkatan pendidikan agama yang menekankan nilai-nilai moderasi dan toleransi serta promosi dialog antaragama untuk memperkuat toleransi dan kerukunan di masyarakat.

Abstract

Learning models that are enjoyable can foster students' interest in learning and enhance their creativity and learning outcomes. The cooperative type make a match model is a learning model that encourages students to actively search for matching cards containing questions and answers, making learning more interactive and enjoyable. This study aims to: 1) determine the learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN Diwek I Jombang on metamorphosis material before implementing the cooperative type make a match model; 2) determine the learning outcomes after implementing the model; and 3) determine the effectiveness of the cooperative type make a match model on student learning outcomes. This research uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design type, specifically the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 31 third-grade students selected through saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through tests (pretest and posttest) and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive statistical analysis, normality test with Shapiro-Wilk, hypothesis testing with Paired Sample T-Test, and effectiveness test with N-Gain. The results showed: 1) the average pretest score before treatment was 68.13; 2) the average posttest score after treatment increased to 87.87; 3) the Paired Sample T-Test obtained a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest results. The N-Gain test showed an average score of 0.6112 in the medium category or 61.12% in the quite effective category. Thus, it can be concluded that the cooperative type make a match model is effective in improving the learning outcomes of third-grade students on metamorphosis material at SDN Diwek I Jombang.
