Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19, menyebabkan  penurunan pembelajaran yang signifikan khususnya pada mata pelajaran matematika. Kegiatan belajar mengajar memerlukan media pendidikan yang dapat membangkitkan perhatian dan ketertarikan siswa terhadap materi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penting untuk mengamati pengaruh penggunaan media terhadap pembelajaran matematika terutama pada materi penjumlahan dan pengurangan operasi bilangan bulat. Kalkulator operasi bilangan bulat (Kopi Ulat) adalah salah satu alat pembelajaran matematika yang dapat digunakan dalam materi operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan pada bilangan bulat. Dengan memanfaatkan Kopi Ulat, siswa mendapatkan pengalaman langsung dalam menjumlahkan dan mengurangkan bilangan bulat kecil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh penggunaan Kopi Ulat pada hasil belajar. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas 4 SD Negeri 04 Segaran sebanyak 19 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Kopi Ulat dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan operasi bilangan bulat. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan naiknya persentase ketuntasan siswa. Melalui media Kopi ulat, siswa juga mampu merumuskan langkah-langkah operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat, mampu membedakan  bilangan positif maupun negatif, serta lebih mudah dalam menyelesaikan soal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan folding back mahasiswa dalam menggambarkan grafik fungsi rasioanl. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Folding back adalah tindakan kembali ke lapisan pemahaman yang lebih dalam ketika mahasiswa mengalami hambatan. Lapisan pemahaman yang dimaksud adalah lapisan pemahaman berdasarkan Pirie dan Kieren (1994). Folding back yang diteliti adalah proses aktivitas, lintasan yang dilalui, bentuk, dan hasil folding back. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal menggambar grafik fungsi rasional dan pedoman wawancara. Penelitian diawali dengan pengerjaan dua soal grafik fungsi rasional oleh mahasiswa pada mata kuliah pengantar aljabar. Berdasarkan hasil pekerjaan tersebut, peneliti menggolongkan mahasiswa dalam kelompok berdasarkan cara pengerjaan dan kebenaran jawaban. Dari jawaban yang benar, peneliti memilih dua mahasiswa dari masing-masing kelompok, kemudian melakukan wawancara singkat terkait adanya folding back atau tidak. Peneliti mendapatkan 4 subjek penelitian yang melakukan folding back pada kedua soal yang diberikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa melakukan folding back berupa bekerja pada lapisan yang lebih dalam dengan menggunakan pemahaman yang sudah ada, mengumpulkan lapisan yang lebih dalam, pindah topik dan menyebabkan diskontinuitas. Mahasiswa mempunyai lintasan yang berbeda-beda tetapi selalu kembali ke lapisan primitive knowing. Masih ditemukan folding back yang tidak efektif dalam menggambarkan grafik fungsi rasional pada soal yang diberikan.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the implementation strategies and challenges faced in applying the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach based on numeracy literacy mathematics learning. A systematic literature review method was employed, analyzing scholarly articles published between 2018 and 2024. The findings reveal that the main strategies in RME-based numeracy literacy include the use of realistic contexts, mathematical modeling, scaffolding, group discussions, and individual reflection. These strategies positively contribute to students’ conceptual understanding and numeracy skills. However, several challenges were also identified, such as limited teacher comprehension of RME philosophy, lack of contextual learning resources, and resistance to shifting from traditional teaching methods. These findings have significant implications for teacher training, the development of contextual teaching materials, and education policies that support numeracy literacy. The study concludes that the success of RME implementation heavily depends on the readiness of the educational ecosystem to support meaningful and contextual learning.

Abstract

Keterlibatan siswa dan hasil belajar merupakan indikator penting dalam menilai efektivitas pembelajaran. Partisipasi aktif mencerminkan tingkat keterlibatan siswa selama proses pembelajaran, sedangkan hasil belajar menunjukkan sejauh mana siswa memahami materi. Rendahnya partisipasi sering berkaitan dengan prestasi akademik yang kurang. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI TKJ 1 di SMK NU Sunan Ampel Poncokusumo melalui penggunaan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) dan teknik diskusi kelompok. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dalam dua siklus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil pada siklus pertama menunjukkan keaktifan siswa sebesar 30,38% dan hasil belajar 19,35%. Setelah perbaikan pada siklus kedua, keaktifan meningkat menjadi 65,83% dan hasil belajar mencapai 86,21%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan LKPD dan diskusi kelompok efektif meningkatkan partisipasi dan pemahaman siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to create a mathematical model related to fuzzy logic to predict student graduation rates starting in 2024. This type of research is applied research. The method used is the tsukamoto method in fuzzy analysis and checking the accuracy of forecasting with MAPE. Data collection techniques are carried out by collecting primary data and secondary data. The primary data used is data on new student admissions, many graduates, and many graduates from Muhammadiyah Ponorogo University in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Secondary data is obtained from books, articles, and documents relevant to Tsukamoto fuzzy. The results of the Tsukamoto fuzzy analysis with MAPE testing show that the fuzzy model built is at a percentage of 5.3%. This means that the fuzzy system has excellent forecasting capabilities in predicting student graduation rates in 2021, 2022, and 2023 and can be used to predict many graduates in 2024.

Abstract

Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini menggunakan metode partisipatif. Ini adalah suatu metode pelibatan pelaku pengabdian sehingga pelaku secara langsung terlibat dalam kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh sasaran. Melalui penggunaan metode ini, penulis akan memperoleh gambaran juga identifikasi yang jelas mengenai sasaran. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah seminar "Meniti Karir: Merancang Masa Depan dengan Bijak". Kegiatan seminar berlangsung dengan lancar dan mendapat sambutan yang baik dari para peserta, terutama siswa putri MA Al-Khoirot kelas XII. Melalui seminar ini, peserta akan memperoleh pemahaman tentang pentingnya perencanaan karir dan berbagai tindakan yang diperlukan untuk mencapai kesuksesan di masa depan. Mereka juga memperoleh informasi tentang keterampilan yang diperlukan dan tren dunia kerja, yang mendorong mereka untuk lebih percaya diri dalam menentukan jalan karir mereka. Diharapkan bahwa kegiatan ini akan mendorong siswa untuk memberi fokus perhatian mereka pada pencapaian karir yang sesuai dengan minat dan kemampuan mereka.

Abstract

To address the problem of abstract mathematics learning, a learning approach is needed that connects mathematical concepts to students' real-life contexts. One approach that could provide a solution is ethnomathematics. This study aims to explore the ethnomathematics concept found in the process of making traditional Putu cake and analyze its potential as a mathematics learning medium in Junior High Schools. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. Data collection was conducted through observation, semi-structured interview with two Putu cake makers and sellers, and documentation at the production site in Sukosari, Pandansari, Poncokusumo, Malang Regency. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that each stage of Putu cake making contains mathematical concepts. In the stages of preparing ingredients and making dough, the concepts of spherical geometry, number operations, and comparisons were found through adjusting the measurements of ingredients based on the production quantity. The stages of forming and filling the dough into the mold contain the concepts of cylindrical geometry and hollow cylinder geometry as shown by the uniformity of the size of the bamboo mold. In the steaming stage, the concept of ratio and comparison between mold size and steaming time was found, while in the presentation and packaging stage, the concept of cylindrical geometry reappeared in the final form of Putu cake. Based on these findings, Putu cake has strong potential to be developed as a contextual and local culture-based mathematics learning medium in junior high schools for the material of numbers, ratios, and geometry. Using Putu cake as a learning medium allows students to understand mathematical concepts through real-life experiences while fostering an appreciation for local culture. Further research is recommended to test the effectiveness of using Putu cake as a medium for learning mathematics in the classroom.

Abstract

Numeracy literacy is an important competency that must be developed in 21st-century learning, particularly in the Independent Curriculum, which emphasizes contextual understanding and the application of knowledge in real life. This study aims to determine the use of animated learning videos with a contextual approach to improving students' numeracy literacy skills. This study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental method using a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of two classes VII at MTs Miftahul Ulum, namely class VIIA as the control class (14 students) which used conventional learning, and class VIIB as the experimental class (15 students) which used animated learning videos with a contextual approach.Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests, then analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, Levene's homogeneity test, and the Paired Sample T-Test using SPSS version 25. The analysis results showed that all data were normally distributed and homogeneous. There was a significant increase between pre-test and post-test scores in both classes, with a higher increase in the experimental class. Thus, the use of animated learning videos with a contextual approach has a positive and significant effect on students' numeracy literacy skills. Abstract

This study aims to describe the analytical thinking ability of tenth-grade students in solving exponentiation problems. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach involving 33 tenth-grade students of SMA Raudlatul Ulum Gondanglegi as the initial data source. Based on the test results, students were classified into three categories of analytical thinking ability, namely high, medium, and low. Furthermore, four students were purposively selected as research subjects for in-depth analysis. The research instruments consisted of one contextual problem and semi- structured interviews. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings indicate differences in the characteristics of students’ analytical thinking processes across ability categories, particularly at the stages of determining and testing problem-solving strategies.
