Abstract

Abstrak Kasus diare di Pondok Pesantren Darul Hijrah Putra tinggi setiap tahun. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk akan dampak konsumsi makanan jajanan dan personal hygiene santri dengan penyakit diare. Jenis penelitian obervasional dengan rancangan penelitian case control. Besar sampel kasus 55 dan kontrol 55. Cara pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, mengalisanya dengan uji Somers’d, dan uji odd’s ratio. Kebiasaan makanan jajanan sebagian besar (35,5%) baik dan personal hygiene sebagian besar (35,5%) cukup. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan ada hubungan konsumsi makanan jajanan dan personal hygiene dengan kejadian diare. Hasil analisis Odd’s ratio menunjukkan konsumsi makanan jajanan dengan ketegori kurang berisiko terkena diare 4 kali lebih tinggi dari para santri yang konsumsi makan jajanannya baik dan personal hygiene dengan ketegori kurang berisiko terkena diare 3 kali lebih tinggi dari para santri yang personal hygiene baik. Santri diharapkan untuk menerapkan pola hidup bersih dan sehat menjauhi makanan yang kebersihannya diragukan agar terhindar dari penyakit diare. Kata Kunci: Diare; Konsumsi Makanan Jajanan; Personal Hygiene Abstract Diarrhea cases at Darul Hijrah Putra Islamic Boarding School are high every year. This study aims to determine the impact of snacks consumption and personal hygiene of students with diarrhea disease. Observational research with case control research design. The sample size was 55 cases and 55 controls. Data collection method using questionnaire, analyzing it with Somers'd test, and odd's ratio test. Most of the snacks (35.5%) were good and most of the personal hygiene (35.5%) was sufficient. The results of statistical tests showed that there was a relationship between the consumption of snacks and personal hygiene with the incidence of diarrhea. The results of Odd's ratio analysis showed that the consumption of snacks with a poor category was at risk of diarrhea 4 times higher than the students whose consumption of snacks was good and personal hygiene with a poor category was at risk of diarrhea 3 times higher than the students whose personal hygiene was good. Santri are expected to implement a clean and healthy lifestyle away from food whose cleanliness is doubtful in order to avoid diarrhea. Keywords: Diarrhea; Snack Food Consumption; Personal Hygiene
