Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic Education and Character Development by implementing the role-playing model on the topic of zakat fitrah for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Kalimas, Besuki, Situbondo. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The participants were 10 fifth-grade students. Data was collected through learning achievement tests, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The results show that the role-playing model enhances students’ understanding of zakat fitrah and their ability to simulate the process of zakat payment accurately. In Cycle I, the mastery score reached 79,5, which increased to 87,5 in Cycle II. This indicates that the role-playing model is effective in improving learning outcomes on zakat fitrah material.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has led to the integration of digital tools in education to enhance student engagement and comprehension. This study examines the planning, implementation, and evaluation of biology learning on the human excretory system using Canva as an instructional medium for 11th-grade science students at SMAS Ibrahimy Wongsorejo, Banyuwangi. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation to analyze the effectiveness of Canva in the learning process. The findings indicate that Canva facilitates structured lesson planning by providing interactive and visually appealing materials, making complex biological concepts more accessible. During implementation, students demonstrated increased engagement, creativity, and collaboration when utilizing Canva to design educational materials. Furthermore, evaluation through formative and summative assessments revealed improvements in students' understanding and retention of the subject matter. Teachers reported enhanced instructional delivery and positive student feedback regarding the use of Canva. However, challenges such as internet access and digital literacy were identified as areas requiring further attention.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of Jakaba liquid organic fertilizer in increasing the growth and resistance of broccoli plants ( Brassica oleracea L. ) to leaf pest attacks. The study used an experimental design with three treatment groups, namely the group given Jakaba fertilizer, the group given NPK fertilizer, and the control group (without fertilizer). The study was conducted in Hutarimbaru Village from March to May 2025. The parameters observed included plant height, number of leaves, flower formation, and intensity of leaf pest attacks. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and ANOVA to determine significant differences between treatments. The results showed that Jakaba fertilizer increased the growth of broccoli plants and improved resistance to leaf pest attacks better than the control. NPK fertilizer also showed a significant increase in growth, but was not better in terms of pest resistance compared to Jakaba. This study concludes that Jakaba fertilizer can be an alternative environmentally friendly fertilizer in sustainable broccoli cultivation.

Abstract

This study aims to explore biology education students' perceptions of integrating entrepreneurship education with courses, interest in entrepreneurship, and self-efficacy. This study is an exploratory descriptive research, the respondents were 77 biology education students at UIN SYAHADA Padangsidimpuan. The instrument used was a closed questionnaire with the Guttman scale. Research data was analyzed descriptively and inferential statistics using the Kruskal Wallis test. The results of the study are: 1) student perceptions regarding the integration of entrepreneurship education are very positive, as many as 83.1% of students feel that integration needs to be implemented. Based on the Sig value (0.86 0.05), there is no significant difference between the perceptions of semester III, V, and VII students; 2) Students' entrepreneurial interest is relatively high, namely 77.9% of students are interested in entrepreneurship. Based on the Sig value (0.43 0.05), there is no significant difference between the interests of semester III, V and VII students; 3) Student self-efficacy in entrepreneurship is classified as moderate, namely only 50.6% of students believe in their abilities. Based on the Sig value (0.07 0.05), there is a significant difference between the self-efficacy of students in semesters III, V, and VII.
