Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of school principal leadership in improving teachers' work discipline at SDIT Kartika Buana Boja Kendal. Effective leadership plays a crucial role in creating a conducive work environment and enhancing teacher performance. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consist of the school principal, teachers, and administrative staff. Data analysis follows the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the school principal acts as an educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, and motivator. The principal enforces discipline through strict supervision, sanctions, and rewards for outstanding teachers. Furthermore, the leadership strategies implemented successfully enhance teachers' professionalism and sense of responsibility in performing their duties. This study provides insights into the effectiveness of school principal leadership in improving teachers' work discipline through a holistic approach. It also emphasizes the importance of balancing firmness with a motivational approach to enhance educators' discipline.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the level of parental satisfaction with the educational services at SDIT Kartika Buana and to formulate strategies for improving service quality through a synergistic approach between the school and parents. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method using the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) approach. The sample consisted of 50 respondents randomly selected from a population of 319 students. The research instrument was a Likert-scale questionnaire developed based on the five dimensions of service quality as defined by Kotler and Armstrong, as well as Zeithaml and Bitner, namely: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The findings indicate an average satisfaction level of 3.93 and an expectation level of 4.20, resulting in a conformity level of 95%. The Cartesian analysis revealed that the quality of the learning program, teacher competence, and the alignment between cost and educational quality are key priorities for improvement. Meanwhile, teacher behavior and the Tahfidz (Qur’an memorization) program fall under the category of aspects that should be maintained. This study highlights that synergy between the school and parents is a critical strategy in maintaining and enhancing the quality of educational services, particularly within integrated Islamic elementary education institutions.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to evaluate the implementation of teacher performance assessment in improving the quality of education in community-based madrasah ibtidaiyah. A descriptive qualitative approach was used through a case study at MI NU 09 Kauman Boja Kendal. The informants consisted of 16 teachers and 1 madrasah head who were selected purposively. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, and then analyzed using thematic techniques. The results of the study show that the implementation of teacher performance assessment is still administrative, unsustainable, and has less impact on improving the quality of learning. Senior teachers with civil servant status and a service period of more than 15 years show a low level of participation in the evaluation process due to the lack of follow-up and professional strengthening. Other inhibiting factors include low digital literacy, lack of learning innovation, and an organizational culture that is less open to feedback. This study recommends strengthening reflective supervision and the formation of professional learning communities based on the principles of total quality management as a strategy for sustainable teacher performance improvement.
