<![CDATA[Artikel ini membahas tentang eksplorasi bunyi dalam proses penciptaan karya komposisi musik “Harmonic in Ryoanji”. Proses penggarapan didasarkan pada pengalaman ekstramusikal yang meliputi suasana keindahan dan ketenangan kuil Ryoanji. Eksplorasi bunyi menjadi upaya inovasi dalam proses kreatif. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Proses penciptaan karya terdiri dari tiga tahap, yakni eksplorasi, improvisasi, dan komposisi, yang diterapkan secara dinamis dan fleksibel. Hasil eksplorasi bunyi yang telah dilalui menawarkan empat jenis eksplorasi baru, yaitu (1) eksplorasi suasana, (2) eksplorasi teknik dan timbre, (3) eksplorasi instrumen, dan (4) eksplorasi tangga nada. Tawaran tersebut dieksplorasi dengan memadukan alat musik tradisional Indonesia, Jepang, dan alat musik Barat. Proses kreatif dalam hal pencarian elemen musik memberikan kebebasan bagi musisi untuk mengekspresikan gagasan secara autentik, sementara penggabungan skala pentatonis dan diatonis menambah dimensi interaktif dan inovasi. Karya musik “Harmonic in Ryoanji” tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana pertunjukkan, tetapi berkontribusi terhadap perkembangan komposisi musik eksperimental. Selain itu, karya ini juga memperkaya ranah penciptaan musik antarbudaya dan menciptakan ruang ekspresi yang lebih inovatif.Exploration of Harmonic Composition Sounds in Ryoanji: Innovations in the Creative ProcessAbstractThis article discusses the exploration of sound in creating the music composition work “Harmonic in Ryoanji". The composing process is based on extra-musical experiences that include the atmosphere of beauty and tranquility of Ryoanji temple. Sound exploration becomes an innovation effort in the creative process. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with a case study method. Creating the work consists of three stages, exploration, improvisation, and composition, which are applied dynamically and flexibly. The results of the sound exploration that has been conducted offer four new types of exploration, namely (1) exploration of atmosphere, (2) exploration of technique and timbre, (3) exploration of instruments, and (4) exploration of scales. These were explored by combining traditional Indonesian, Japanese, and Western instruments. The creative process of finding musical elements gives musicians the freedom to express ideas authentically, while incorporating pentatonic and diatonic scales adds an interactive and innovative dimension. The musical work "Harmonic in Ryoanji" not only functions as a performance tool but also contributes to the development of experimental music composition.
