Abstract

This article explores the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a strategic approach to generate economic added value through environmental compliance. The study investigates how CSR programs that align with environmental regulations contribute not only to legal adherence but also to long-term economic benefits for companies. The research adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative analysis of regulatory frameworks and CSR reports with quantitative data from selected manufacturing and industrial sectors. The findings reveal that companies integrating environmental compliance into their CSR initiatives tend to experience higher public trust, improved brand image, and operational efficiency. These advantages indirectly enhance economic value by reducing regulatory risks and fostering consumer loyalty. Furthermore, the study highlights that CSR is no longer merely a philanthropic activity but a strategic investment in sustainability and legal risk mitigation. This research provides insight for policymakers and business leaders on how CSR aligned with environmental law can serve as a dual driver of compliance and competitive advantage in an increasingly eco-conscious economic landscape.

Abstract

Abstract

The growing urgency of the global climate crisis compels developing economies to redesign their labor governance systems to integrate environmental sustainability. This study examines the extent to which legal frameworks in developing countries can promote green employment as part of sustainable governance reform. Using a normative juridical approach combined with comparative legal analysis, the research explores statutory provisions and policy instruments from selected countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The data were obtained through legislative interpretation and document review focusing on the convergence between environmental law and labor regulation. The findings reveal that despite strong policy narratives on green growth, the implementation of sustainable labor governance remains fragmented due to weak institutional coordination, limited enforcement, and inadequate legal integration. The study argues that establishing an integrated legal framework linking environmental standards with labor rights is essential to ensure a just transition toward green employment. Such a framework should emphasize coherence, accountability, and cross-sectoral collaboration to achieve inclusive, sustainable economic development.
