Abstract

This research was conducted using play methods and interactive activities that aim to improve self-control skills in children aged 7-10 years in RPTRA West Jakarta. Self-control is an important aspect that must be developed early on so that children are able to think logically, manage emotions, and make decisions independently. For three weeks we have implemented an intervention program with a total of five main activities; (a) Mewarnai; (b) Berburu Harta Karun; (c) Daur Ulang Jadi Karya; (d) Jendela Perasaanku; dan (e) Layar Ceria. Measurement was carried out using the pre-test and post-test method, which is a measurement with a self-control questionnaire. The analysis showed a significant increase in the three dimensions of self-control, namely behavioral control, cognitive control, and decisional control. Therefore, game-based interactive activities are proven to be effective in improving children's self-control as a whole. Highlights: Effective Intervention: Game-based interactive activities significantly improved children's behavioral, cognitive, and decisional self-control. Structured Program: The intervention included five engaging activities—coloring, treasure hunting, recycling, emotional expression, and screen-based storytelling. Measured Impact: Pre-test and post-test analysis confirmed measurable growth in self-control among children aged 7–10 in RPTRA West Jakarta. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study confirms a significant relationship between self-control and online game addiction with aggressive behavior among vocational high school students in Nogosari District, showing that higher self-control reduces aggression, while online game addiction increases it. This study focuses on determining whether there are differences in attachment-related anxiety and attachment-related avoidance levels based on the 18–25 age group. A total of 455 participants were selected using judgment sampling techniques and completed the Experiences in Close Relationships–Revised (ECR-R) instrument online. The data were analyzed in several stages, namely descriptive tests, Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality tests, and principal analysis using the Kruskal–Wallis test because the data were not normally distributed. The results showed significant differences in both attachment dimensions based on age. The mean rank pattern illustrates that certain age groups have higher levels of anxiety or avoidance tendencies compared to other age groups, indicating that attachment styles in early adulthood are dynamic and influenced by developmental experiences at each age. These findings conclude that age plays a role in differentiating how individuals build close relationships, and provide an important basis for the development of counseling services and mentoring programs tailored to the needs of each age group in early adulthood. ABSTRAK Masa dewasa awal ditandai oleh meningkatnya tuntutan hidup dan kebutuhan membangun hubungan dekat yang stabil, sehingga gaya keterikatan menjadi penting dalam membentuk kedekatan emosional. Namun, meskipun pengalaman dewasa dapat memengaruhi pola keterikatan, penelitian yang membahas variasinya pada kelompok usia berbeda dalam rentang dewasa awal masih terbatas. Penelitian ini berfokus untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan tingkat attachment-related anxiety dan attachment-related avoidance berdasarkan kelompok usia 18–25 tahun. Sebanyak 455 partisipan dipilih menggunakan teknik judgment sampling dan mengisi instrumen The Experiences in Close Relationships–Revised (ECR-R) secara daring. Data dianalisis melalui beberapa tahap, yaitu uji deskriptif, uji normalitas Kolmogorov–Smirnov, dan analisis utama menggunakan uji Kruskal–Wallis karena data tidak berdistribusi normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan pada kedua dimensi keterikatan berdasarkan usia. Pola mean rank menggambarkan bahwa kelompok usia tertentu memiliki tingkat kecemasan atau kecenderungan menghindar yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok usia lainnya, yang menunjukkan bahwa gaya keterikatan pada dewasa awal bersifat dinamis dan dipengaruhi oleh pengalaman perkembangan pada tiap usia. Temuan ini menyimpulkan bahwa usia berperan dalam membedakan cara individu membangun hubungan dekat, serta memberikan dasar penting bagi pengembangan layanan konseling dan program pendampingan yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan tiap kelompok usia di masa dewasa awal.
