Abstract

Learning outcome assessment plays a strategic role in improving the quality of Arabic language learning. Learning evaluation plays an important role in measuring the achievement of student competencies. One of the commonly used approaches is the interpretation of test results based on Norm Reference Assessment (PAN) and Benchmark/Criteria Reference Assessment (PAK). This study aims to review the effectiveness of these assessment approaches in the context of Arabic language learning. The method used is library research, by reviewing primary and secondary literature such as scientific journals, books, and academic documents. The selection of sources is based on the suitability of the theme, recency, and credibility. The analysis techniques applied are content analysis and thematic synthesis to explore patterns of test score interpretation in learning evaluation. This study also highlights how educators can link test results with criterion or norm-based assessments proportionally and contextually. The results of the study indicate that the criterion-based approach tends to be more applicable in supporting students' mastery of maharah lughawiyah and supporting directed learning. Meanwhile, the norm-based approach remains relevant in the context of large-scale selection or evaluation. Thus, the selection of the right assessment method, accompanied by an understanding of the evaluation function, will encourage the achievement of learning objectives more effectively and comprehensively.

Abstract

There are many things we need to pay attention to in psycholinguistic studies, starting from the concept and role, challenges and opportunities in learning Arabic in the digital era, as well as its main role in language learning. The aim of this research is to understand the concept and role of psycholinguistics in language learning, find out the challenges and opportunities for learning Arabic in the digital era, and find out the role of psycholinguistics in optimizing language learning. This research approach uses descriptive qualitative with a literature study or literature review method, which is carried out by collecting and analyzing various relevant literature, in the form of books, journals, articles and previous research. The results obtained are; 1) the concept and role of psycholinguistics in language learning can contribute significantly to improving the quality of language learning. 2) challenges in learning Arabic in the digital era, namely the differences between Indonesian and Arabic, curriculum problems, and sociological problems. The opportunity is to be able to develop quality and interesting digital learning materials, access that is more interactive and fun, increase motivation and enthusiasm for learning. 3) The main role of psycholinguistics in language learning is being able to understand the language learning process, developing communication skills, acquiring language, and being able to overcome problems in language skills.
