Abstract

This study analyzes the development of elementary school-aged children at SDN 55 Palembang and its implications for the learning process. Using qualitative methods (observation, interviews, and documentation), this study reveals variations in children’s cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development. Most children, according to Piaget’s theory, are at the concrete operational stage, showing the ability to think logically about concrete objects but are limited to abstract reasoning. This variation in development is influenced by internal factors (talent, interest, motivation) and external factors (family environment, parental support, access to learning resources). Differences in development have implications for the need for differentiated learning strategies. The study recommends an inclusive and responsive learning approach to individual needs, emphasizing collaboration between teachers, parents, and the community in creating an optimal learning environment. The need for training for teachers to understand and apply teaching methods that are appropriate to the characteristics of children’s development is also proposed, so that each student can reach their maximum potential.

Abstract

Perayaan Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW tidak hanya sekadar peringatan atas kelahiran sang Nabi, tetapi juga menjadi momentum penting untuk memperkuat nilai-nilai karakter dalam kehidupan umat Islam, khususnya bagi generasi muda. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara peringatan Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW dengan pendidikan karakter di kalangan generasi muda, serta bagaimana implementasi nilai-nilai tersebut dapat diaplikasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini menganalisis berbagai aspek ajaran Nabi Muhammad SAW yang berkaitan dengan akhlak mulia, seperti kejujuran, kesabaran, kasih sayang, dan toleransi, yang dapat dijadikan model bagi pembentukan karakter generasi muda. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa peringatan Maulid Nabi dapat dijadikan sarana untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai positif yang mendukung pembentukan karakter yang baik, baik di lingkungan keluarga, sekolah, maupun masyarakat. Dengan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang teladan Nabi, diharapkan generasi muda dapat mengimplementasikan ajaran-ajaran Nabi dalam kehidupan mereka, sehingga terbentuklah pribadi yang berakhlak mulia dan memiliki integritas tinggi. Artikel ini juga menawarkan rekomendasi untuk memperkuat implementasi pendidikan karakter berbasis Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW dalam kurikulum pendidikan dan kegiatan sosial di masyarakat.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has brought significant changes to various aspects of human life, including the practice of Islamic da‘wah. Technology no longer functions merely as a supporting tool, but has evolved into an infrastructure of civilization that shapes communication patterns, social interactions, and the dissemination of religious values within modern society. This paper aims to examine the utilization of information technology in da‘wah activities and its implications for the transformation of da‘wah methods, media, and strategies in the digital era. The discussion begins with an overview of the basic concept of da‘wah and the development of information technology, followed by an analysis of the use of digital media and social media as contemporary da‘wah platforms. In addition to the opportunities offered—such as wider reach, time efficiency, and easier access to religious information—information technology also presents various challenges. These include limited digital literacy among preachers, shifts in religious authority, and potential negative impacts on moral and ethical values. Therefore, this paper emphasizes the importance of adaptive attitudes, adequate technological competence, teamwork, and media ethics in the implementation of da‘wah. Through the appropriate and responsible use of information technology, Islamic da‘wah is expected to effectively convey the message of amar ma‘ruf nahi munkar in a contextual manner and contribute to the realization of Islam as rahmatan lil ‘alamin.
