Abstract

This research addresses the important issue of exploring the dimension of mutual cooperation in strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile of sixth grade students at MI Salamah. The implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) for students in schools presents its own challenges for educators who play multiple roles amid limitations and constraints related to the students. The main objective of this research is to identify and analyze the implementation of the value of mutual cooperation in the P5 project, including the supporting and inhibiting factors. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data sources were obtained through interviews with teachers and students, student questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that overall, the implementation of the value of mutual cooperation in the P5 project is carried out through various strategies that integrate these values into learning and everyday school life, such as collaborative group discussions, social and caring activities, and student creativity competitions. The supporting factors in implementing the value of mutual cooperation include the teacher’s role as a facilitator to assist students, students’ enthusiasm, and the presence of a "Gelar Karya" (exhibition of student work). Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are differences in student character, the teacher’s readiness in classroom management, and time limitations in executing the P5 project. In conclusion, the implementation of the value of mutual cooperation in the P5 project for sixth-grade students at MI Salamah follows a sequence aligned with the project’s objectives, consisting of introduction, contextualization, action, reflection, and follow-up

Abstract

Educational supervision plays a strategic role in improving teacher performance, particularly in the learning process at school. This study aims to describe the role of educational supervision in optimizing teacher performance in the learning process at SMA Negeri 10, Jambi City, and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, vice principal for curriculum, and teachers. The results indicate that educational supervision plays a role in improving teacher pedagogical, professional, and disciplinary competence through ongoing coaching, constructive feedback, and learning support. Supporting factors for supervision include school leadership commitment, teacher collaboration, and a conducive academic culture. While inhibiting factors include time constraints, teacher administrative burdens, and teacher perceptions of supervision. This study concludes that educational supervision, implemented systematically and humanely, can optimize teacher performance and improve the quality of learning.

Abstract

School facilities and infrastructure management is one of the essential components in improving the quality of education. Effective managerial supervision by the principal plays a strategic role in ensuring that educational facilities are planned, utilized, maintained, and evaluated systematically. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of the principal's managerial supervision in managing educational facilities and infrastructure at Sekolah Menengah Pertama Swasta Yayasan Pendidikan Wanita Islam Muslimat Jambi. The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving the principal, vice principal, teachers, administrative staff, and the school foundation. The collected data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, including data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings (simulation) indicate that managerial supervision was implemented through four interconnected stages: planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. The principal involved school stakeholders in identifying facility needs, conducted periodic monitoring of educational resources, evaluated the condition and utilization of school facilities, and implemented follow-up actions through maintenance, repair, and procurement planning. Several supporting factors included leadership commitment, collaboration among school members, and foundation support, while budget limitations and facility maintenance costs remained significant challenges. The study concludes that effective managerial supervision contributes positively to improving the management of educational facilities and infrastructure, supports a conducive learning environment, and enhances the overall quality of educational services.
