Abstract

Background & Objective: Nutritional disorders are disorders caused by a lack of nutritional needs that cannot be met to maintain body health. This nutritional disorder problem can be caused by diseases that make it difficult to eat so that nutritional disorders can occur. This nutritional disorder occurs in patients with cancer, diabetes and elderly people who are old because of the reduced level of appetite they have. Method: The method used in writing this literature review is to use a comprehensive strategy, such as searching for articles in the research journal database used, keywords used to search for articles, and limitations of the search for articles to be reviewed based on the year of publication of at least the last 5 years, language, and availability in full text form. Result: Interventions that can be given to these patients are feeding through nasogastric and parenteral. Parenteral nutrition is done by administering 10% aminosteril, 20% lipid and NS+KCL+Ca fluid (a mixture of NACL, calcium potassium chloride, and calcium). Conclusion: Various interventions have been identified as solutions to overcome nutritional disorders, including feeding through nasogastric or parenteral, proper diet planning, regular monitoring of patient nutritional status, and health education to patients and their families.

Abstract

Penyakit tidak menular seperti diabetes mellitus, hipertensi, dan asam urat merupakan masalah kesehatan yang banyak dialami oleh lansia dan dapat menurunkan kualitas hidup jika tidak dikendalikan dengan baik. Aktivitas fisik teratur menjadi salah satu upaya nonfarmakologis yang efektif untuk menjaga kesehatan lansia. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kebugaran dan kesadaran lansia dalam menjaga kesehatan melalui Terapi Aktivitas Kelompok (TAK) berupa senam sehat lansia. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di posyandu Azzikra, dengan peserta sebanyak 25 orang lansia yang memiliki riwayat penyakit tidak menular. Kegiatan dimulai dengan pemeriksaan kesehatan sederhana (tekanan darah dan gula darah sewaktu), pelaksanaan senam sehat berdurasi ±30 menit. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kebugaran dan semangat peserta, disertai penurunan tekanan darah dan kadar gula darah sewaktu pada sebagian lansia, walaupun bersifat sementara. Peserta juga menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dan berharap kegiatan serupa dilakukan secara rutin. Kegiatan TAK senam sehat terbukti memberikan manfaat fisik, sosial, dan psikologis bagi lansia, sehingga dapat dijadikan program berkelanjutan dalam mendukung upaya promotif dan preventif terhadap penyakit tidak menular di masyarakat.

Abstract

Background & Objective: Hypertension is a significant global health problem, and family support as caregivers can play a role in the self-management of hypertensive patients. This review aims to evaluate the effectiveness of family support in helping hypertensive patients. Method: This study used a literature review approach with descriptive analysis. Data were obtained from scientific articles published between 2022 and 2024 through the Google Scholar and PubMed databases. A total of 15 relevant articles were selected based on inclusion criteria. Result: Family support has been shown to be effective in improving patient compliance with hypertension treatment, controlling blood pressure, and improving quality of life. Non-pharmacological interventions such as family education and relaxation therapy have shown significant positive effects. Conclusion: Family support is an important factor in managing hypertension and should be integrated into health programs to improve hypertension management outcomes in the community.
