Abstract

This community service activity aimed to improve fire disaster preparedness among students with special needs at SKH YKDW 03 School in Tangerang City through the use of evacuation route mock-up media. The main issue addressed was the students' low understanding of evacuation procedures in the event of a fire at school. The methods employed included training and simulation, consisting of disaster preparedness education, training on the use of the evacuation mock-up, and direct simulation within the school environment. Pre-test and post-test results showed that the use of evacuation route mock-ups was effective in enhancing disaster preparedness among students with special needs at YKDW 03 Special School. Significant improvements were observed in evacuation route comprehension, simulation participation, and students’ sense of safety during the activity. This approach proves to be a relevant, inclusive, and adaptive disaster education strategy for students with physical and sensory disabilities. The activity also encourages the integration of mock-up media into regular learning and ongoing training for teachers and staff

Abstract

Posbindu Dahlia Indah located in Petukangan Selatan Village has developed into a center for community empowerment activities based on local potential, especially in the production of tea bags from butterfly pea flowers (Clitoria ternatea). This product has added value both in terms of economy and health benefits, thus promising broad market opportunities. However, limitations in human resource (HR) management, such as lack of technical skills, suboptimal division of tasks, and minimal knowledge about packaging and marketing, are the main obstacles in increasing production and distribution capacity. This study aims to identify the main challenges in the production process and formulate empowerment strategies through HR training and optimization. The methods used include direct observation of production activities, focus group discussions (FGD) to explore problems and solutions from the perspective of group members, and skills training tailored to local needs. The training covers technical aspects of production, sanitation, packaging, and the basics of community marketing. The results of the study showed that training designed in a participatory manner was able to improve technical skills and self-confidence of group members. A more structured division of tasks also increased the efficiency of the production process. In addition, there is an increase in collective awareness of the importance of building local brands and utilizing social media as a means of promotion. This program not only has an impact on increasing production capacity, but also strengthens social ties between members and creates a spirit of community-based economic independence. This study recommends strengthening ongoing mentoring and expanding marketing networks as strategic steps to support the sustainability of the butterfly pea flower tea bag production business at Posbindu Dahlia Indah. The results of this study are expected to be a model for local economic empowerment that can be replicated in other communities with similar potential.

Abstract

This study investigates how students receiving the Indonesia Smart Card Scholarship (KIP-K) Program D4 in DKI Jakarta have the influence of financial support, educational motivation, and family support on timely graduation. Data were collected using a quantitative survey design and quantitative approach. Questionnaires were distributed to 31 respondents and analyzed using multiple linear regression. Validity, reliability, and classical assumptions such as normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests were the analysis tools. The results showed that all three variables, both partially and simultaneously, had a significant effect on timely graduation. Students have found that getting financial support helps them reduce the stress associated with their education costs. In addition, family support helps students maintain their academic spirit, and increases their academic motivation. It is expected that these findings will provide insight strategic for the development of scholarship policies and increasing the effectiveness of the KIP-K program in Indonesia.

Abstract

Automated writing evaluation (AWE) tools have been extensively used in foreign language writing classrooms, and their use has been progressively expanding recently. The study investigates an overview of Grammarly’s Automated Writing Evaluation (AWE). The research employed a quasi-experimental, comparative design with convenience sampling to assess the effects of Grammarly on the automated writing evaluation and self-editing of 56 administrative officers. The findings demonstrate that Grammarly’s AWE editing groups produced many better-written outputs. Grammarly’s AWE editing and self-editing experimental groups outperformed the control groups that did not engage in Grammarly’s AWE software. The level and complexity of the impact articles written by experimental groups are much more significant. The comparison was made between automated and non-automated editing. It demonstrates the existence of a considerable advantage for AWE editing. There were statistically significant changes in favor of the post-test between the pretest and post-test mean scores for both groups. These outcomes may be clarified with the software’s contribution. There is no difference between the experimental groups that are statistically significant. This result corresponds with whether there is a substantial difference in the effects on the writings of Grammarly’s AWE and self-editing experimental groups.
