Abstract

The development of digital technology drives innovation in education, one of which is through the implementation of augmented Reality (AR), which increases interactivity and understanding of abstract concepts in learning. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PRISMA method to analyze the implementation of AR in education. Of the 3,225,372 articles reviewed, 30 journals met the research criteria, with Marker-Based Tracking as the most commonly used AR method because of its stability and accuracy. The study results showed that AR increases students' interactivity, facilitates understanding of abstract concepts, increases student engagement, improves information retention and memory, facilitates simulation and practice, develops creativity and collaboration, adapts learning to individual needs, and improves cost and resource efficiency, although it still faces challenges in the infrastructure and technical skills of teachers. Therefore, further development in AR applications at various education levels is recommended to improve understanding and adaptation to scientific developments. Keywords: Augmented Reality, Learning Media, Marker-Based Tracking.

Abstract

Passports are vital documents for cross-country mobility that require a high security system to prevent forgery. This study compares the security features of polycarbonate passports from Indonesia, the Netherlands, and Canada based on the ICAO Doc 9303 standard. The method used is qualitative descriptive-comparative through observation, literature studies, and interviews. The results show that the Netherlands and Canada have consistently implemented advanced security features such as laser engraving, kinegram, and encrypted chips, and are integrated with the ICAO Public Key Directory (PKD). Meanwhile, Indonesia still has different versions of passports and limitations in biometric data integration. This study recommends improving the design of the Indonesian passport by adding additional features and updating technical regulations.

Abstract

The enforcement of immigration law, particularly concerning the falsification of immigration documents, requires a comprehensive and structured approach to the management of evidence. This necessitates a thorough and up-to-date examination of immigration documents through the optimization of forensic laboratory facilities. Utilizing a literature review method, this journal aims to analyze the role and function of forensic laboratories in examination of evidence related to immigration crimes and to formulate strategies for optimizing the use of forensic laboratories. The findings indicate that the Immigration Forensic Laboratory holds significant potential in supporting the enforcement of immigration law. However, this potential has not been fully realized due to inadequate facilities, underutilization of VSC equipment at Immigration Checkpoints, and limited competence of human resources.

Abstract

Body-worn cameras (bodycams) are a technological innovation that plays a crucial role in strengthening the transparency and accountability of immigration duties in Indonesia. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature review of journals, regulations, and official reports to examine the effectiveness, challenges, and policy strategies related to bodycam use. The results show that bodycams can be an effective accountability instrument because they objectively record interactions between officers and the public, thereby increasing public trust and strengthening oversight mechanisms. However, implementation faces obstacles such as data storage infrastructure, operational costs, and organizational cultural resistance, particularly at busy service points such as Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Therefore, comprehensive regulations, personal data protection, and continuous evaluation are needed for bodycams to become an instrument for immigration institutional reform.

Abstract

Learning about passport security features in immigration vocational education is still dominated by conventional methods such as lectures and static media, which are less effective in presenting the technical details of security features. This limitation creates a gap between theory and students' analytical skills. This study aims to identify the weaknesses of conventional methods and develop Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media using the Lean Product Development (LPD) framework. The learn phase maps student needs, the build phase produces AR prototypes in the form of 3D models of Indonesian, Swiss, and Canadian passports with key security features, while the measure phase evaluates effectiveness through limited trials. The results show that AR increases motivation, interactivity, and understanding of features that are difficult to observe directly. Thus, AR has the potential to be a learning innovation that can bridge the gap between theory and practice.
