Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate how effective the laboratory information system is in terms of data transmission and website speed at the UNTIRTA VTE Laboratory. To conduct this study, a literature review and direct observation of the data sending and receiving process, as measured by PageSpeed ​​Insights, were used. The results showed that overall, the website performance was good, with optimal FCP and LCP values ​​on desktop and mobile devices. However, elements such as Interaction to Next Paint (INP) and Speed ​​Index (SI) require additional improvements to improve interactivity and access speed. The student dashboard page is considered the main activity center, according to the analysis of user access pattern data. However, pages with large file sizes require better data transmission management to avoid bottlenecks. This study provides an overview of how effective data transmission and user experience are on the laboratory website and suggests the development of infrastructure and website optimization elements, such as caching and file size reduction. These results contribute to the continuous improvement of the laboratory website, which is very important to meet the data and information service needs of UNTIRTA VTE Laboratory users in real-time.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengulas penerapan teknologi multimedia dalam proses pembuatan video motivasi berjudul “Ekspresi Muda Bentuk Nyata Untuk Indonesia.” Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menciptakan media audiovisual yang mampu menumbuhkan semangat, kreativitas, dan rasa cinta tanah air di kalangan generasi muda menuju Indonesia Bersih. Proses pengembangannya dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu pra-produksi, produksi, dan pascaproduksi. Pada tahap pra-produksi disusun konsepan, alur cerita serta latar cerita yang berfokus pada penyampaian pesan inspiratif tentang peran pemuda dalam kebersihan lingkungan bangsa. Tahap produksi melibatkan pengambilan gambar, perekaman audio, serta penerapan elemen grafis dan animasi menggunakan perangkat lunak seperti capcut Pro.dan Selanjutnya, tahap pascaproduksi dilakukan penyuntingan video, penambahan efek visual, pengaturan warna, serta sinkronisasi audio agar hasilnya lebih menarik dan komunikatif. Hasil akhir menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan teknologi multimedia mampu meningkatkan kualitas penyampaian pesan motivasi melalui kombinasi visual dan audio yang dinamis, sehingga efektif dalam menumbuhkan semangat positif generasi muda. Dengan demikian, penggunaan multimedia menjadi strategi yang tepat dalam produksi video motivasi untuk mendukung pembentukan karakter generasi menuju Indonesia yang aman nyaman dan lestari.

Abstract

Steam Power Plant (SPP) material is considered a complex topic because it involves thermodynamic concepts and mechanical processes occurring within closed components, making it difficult for students to observe directly. This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of interactive technology-based learning videos as supporting media in electrical engineering education. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation phases. The analysis phase identified students’ needs to visualize the water-steam cycle and understand the operational processes of steam power plants. During the design phase, storyboards and animation concepts for the main SPP components were created. The development phase produced interactive learning videos using Canva and CapCut, which were validated and deemed feasible by subject matter experts and media experts. The implementation stage demonstrated that the media could be effectively integrated into the learning process. Furthermore, the evaluation results revealed highly positive student responses, with an average score of 4.4 out of 5.0. Based on these findings, the developed interactive learning video is considered feasible, practical, and effective in enhancing students’ understanding of Steam Power Plant concepts.
