Abstract

This research was written to describe the characterization of Rudy and find the conflicts that exist in the movie so that the writer can find the main points of research that show the persistence in nationalism found in Rudy's struggle in the Rudy Habibie movie. The research focused in persistency in nationalism in Rudy Habibie movie. To analyze this research was made with qualitative and descriptive methods. The writer used the subtitle of the Rudy Habibie movie as the object of research. The results of this research found 3 characterizations that resulted in 8 characters, 3 internal conflicts and 3 external conflicts, and 4 persistence in nationalism. The persistence in nationalism that was found to be very strong where Rudy always tried anything for the good and progress of Indonesia, with persistence in learning, the courage to express opinions, and being willing to part with his first love.

Abstract

This research aims to test the effectiveness of using Pop-Up Books to increase students' vocabulary. Pop-Up Book is implemented for students in E-learning using YouTube videos. This research uses a quasi-experiment design with non-equivalent control groups. By conducting tests on two groups, this research design combines pre-test, treatment, and post-test research. The author uses a test for students created to measure student achievement in increasing vocabulary using Pop Up. Test to determine the difference in students' vocabulary mastery between the experimental group and the control group after the learning process using Pop-Up Books or without using Pop-Up Books. The population in this study were class VII students at MTs PSM Randublatung Blora for the 2021/2022 academic year. Two classes of class VII students at MTs PSM Randublatung, Blora, were used as samples. The control group is the first class, while the experimental group is the second class. Class VII C is the control group, while VII D is the experimental group. The results of this research indicate that the use of Pop-Up Books to increase students' vocabulary is effective. The test results show that the average score is 86.44, which is in the good range. With a rate of 59.03%, the use of Pop-Up Books as learning media is quite effective.

Abstract

The background that drives this research is to improve speaking skills in 4th grade students at Kusuma Bhakti Elementary School Semarang. The purpose of this study is to determine the speaking ability of students before and after using google assistant whether there is a significant improvement. Based on the results of the study, the frequency of students who pronounced ”car” from 50 students who answered incorrectly was reduced to 21 students who answered incorrectly. In the pronunciation of Bicycle, the frequency of students who answered correctly was 39 and after treatment increased to 64. In the pronunciation of “bus”, there were 37 students who pronounced it correctly and after the treatment it increased to 55 students who pronounced it correctly. In “train” there were 28 students who answered correctly and after the treatment there were 62 correct students. Finally, “airplane” there were 30 students who pronounced correctly before treatment and after treatment there were 55 correct ones. The results of the Mc Nemar Test analysis conducted using SPSS showed a significance value of 0.000 in the pronunciation of “car” “bicycle” “train” and “airplane”, while in “bus” the significance value was 0.010. Based on (Fauzia, 2020) it can be concluded that the significance value is less than 0.05. So this study shows the effect of the implementation of goggle assistance in learning on improving students' speaking ability
