Abstract

The abundant potential of solar energy in Indonesia needs to be utilized effectively, especially by houses in areas that do not have electricity. This study aims to discuss solar power generation systems for households without access to electricity in rural and remote areas. The method is a literature review to review relevant studies related to solar power plants in rural and remote areas. The results found that the use of PV can increase access to electricity in remote or rural areas, that can increase the Electrification Ratio and Electrified Village Ratio in an area, increase the role of renewable energy (RE), and reduce GHG (Green House Gas) emissions. It is necessary to pay attention to the provision of initial investment costs, research and development, training and capacity building of human resources, and control over product quality.

Abstract

The phenomenon of increasing popularity of Integrated Islamic Schools (SIT) with the Full Day School (FDS) system reflects new demands in the world of Islamic education, especially related to the internalization of religious values in a systematic, sustainable, and integrated manner in school life. Schools with the FDS system not only function as learning institutions, but also as a forum for the formation of students' religious character. This study aims to analyze in depth the management strategies applied in FDS in order to internalize the values of Islamic religious education, especially at the junior secondary education level. The method used is a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews with principals, teachers, and students; participatory observation of religious activities; as well as documentation of work plans and character development programs. The results of the study show that the value internalization strategy is carried out through structured planning based on core values, habituation of daily worship such as prayer and tadarus, teacher role models in attitude and behavior, integration of Islamic values in the national curriculum, and evaluation of students' character involving the role of parents. Factors supporting the success of this strategy include the commitment of the school management, a conducive religious environment, and the active participation of parents. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include student fatigue due to long learning durations, less supportive family backgrounds, and limited teacher training in character management. This study concludes that the success of internalizing Islamic values in the FDS system is highly dependent on the quality of adaptive, collaborative, and consistent strategic management.

Abstract

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of Islamic character education in relation to students’ developmental stages in an integrated Islamic junior secondary school. Although Islamic character education is normatively grounded in the values of the Qur’an and Hadith, its pedagogical implementation should also consider the developmental characteristics of students, particularly during early adolescence. The study aims to analyze how Islamic character education is implemented in alignment with students’ cognitive, emotional, and social development. This research employed a descriptive qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis at an integrated Islamic junior secondary school in Indonesia. The participants included the principal, teachers, and students from grades seven to nine. The findings indicate that Islamic character education is implemented through three main pillars: value-integrated teaching, habituation programs, and teacher role modeling. Cross-domain developmental analysis shows varying levels of alignment. In the cognitive domain, classroom discussions and reflective questioning support moral reasoning, although differentiation across grade levels remains limited. In the emotional domain, habituation practices such as congregational prayer and daily moral routines foster self-regulation, yet emotional guidance is sometimes dominated by rule-based discipline. In the social domain, teacher role modeling and peer interactions contribute to the formation of students’ moral identity, although opportunities for student participation and leadership remain uneven. Overall, while Islamic character education is strongly embedded in the school culture, its developmental responsiveness could be strengthened through more differentiated pedagogical approaches.
