Abstract

This study aims to determine how strong the students' interest is in participating in the pencak silat extracurricular activities in high schools in Cilamaya Wetan Methodology: This study is a quantitative descriptive study using a survey method with data collection techniques using instruments in the form of questionnaires. Likert scale 1-4 to measure the scores obtained from the questionnaire are then analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques using the SPSS 30 application then the results are expressed in the form of a percentage or using statistics. This study examines schools that have pencak silat extracurricular activities in three high schools, namely SMAN 1 Cilamaya, SMKN 1 Cilamaya and SMK Iptek Cilamaya. The results of the study at SMAN 1 Cilamaya school showed that interest in participating in extracurricular activities was in the high category of 45%, intrinsic factors were in the low category of 47% and extrinsic factors were in the high category of 46%. For SMKN 1 Cilamaya school, interest in participating in extracurricular activities was in the low category of 52%, intrinsic factors were in the low category of 51% and extrinsic factors were in the low category of 55%. For SMK Iptek Cilamaya school, interest in participating in extracurricular activities was in the low category of 60%. Intrinsic factors were in the same low category of 44% and extrinsic factors were in the high category of 54%.
