Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to explore the church's mission and ministry to children based on an eschatological perspective. Eschatology, as a branch of theology that explores the end times and the afterlife, plays a crucial role in shaping children's understanding of life's purpose and their hopes for the future. This research emphasizes the importance of teaching faith, hope and eternal life to children from an early age. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, which includes observation, interviews and case studies in various children's service institutions. The research results show that a holistic and sustainable approach is needed to meet children's spiritual and mental needs. With the right strategy, it is hoped that children can understand their identity and God's plan for their lives, as well as internalize eschatological values ​​in everyday life. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi misi dan pelayanan gereja kepada anak-anak berdasarkan perspektif eskatologis. Eskatologi, sebagai cabang teologi yang mempelajari akhir zaman dan kehidupan setelah kematian, memiliki peranan penting dalam membentuk pemahaman anak-anak tentang tujuan hidup dan harapan akan masa depan. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya mengajarkan iman, pengharapan, dan kehidupan kekal kepada anak-anak sejak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif, yang meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan studi kasus di berbagai lembaga pelayanan anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan yang holistik dan berkelanjutan sangat diperlukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan spiritual dan mental anak-anak. Dengan strategi yang tepat, diharapkan anak-anak dapat memahami identitas diri mereka dan rencana Tuhan dalam hidup mereka, serta menginternalisasi nilai-nilai eskatologis dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

The development of modern management requires the church to renew its management practices. There are pros and cons regarding whether the church can adopt modern management models that are considered profit-oriented. Nevertheless, this writing aims to present management that is not only centered on church officials but also on the management functions outlined in the Bible to be understood and applied in today's church. The research method used is literature study utilizing historical-biblical analysis by examining literature sources from various online articles. The results of the study find that the management functions outlined in the Bible, particularly in the New Testament, such as administrative function, governance function, and servanthood function, still need to be reinterpreted and applied by all members of the body of Christ serving in the church, especially church officials.
